If you can only go to one winery in the Santa Ynez wine region, it is Sunstone. The wines are beautiful (pinot noir and syrah are tops) and the service is friendly. The tasting room is beautiful and the picnic grounds are lovely. All in all, it earned our #1 ranking for overall experience.

Love Sunstone Vineyard! Friendly staff, delicious wines and a good time with family and friends. Shout out to Tom (staff) for remembering my name. Wow!

We visited on a beautiful day which made the landscape of Sunstone pop! Set in a beautiful vineyard which is nice to take in. However wine was pretty average and service in the tasting room was a little disappointing. Wineries in this area need to up their game in terms of food and wine pairing or offering snacks. Was a... We can't say enough about Sunstone! We were married there in October and everyone at Sunstone has become family! The staff is kind, attentive, knowledgable, fun and so much more. The wine goes down easily and it is beyond worth every sip! LOVE IT. For a beautiful day - Sunstone is the place to go if you're looking for quality... More

Great grounds, good wine, disappointed by the service in tasting room. My husband and I stopped by Sunstone winery on our road trip from SF to LA. We were only in California for a short trip so we did not have much time to visit wineries. We chose to visit Sunstone as it was recommended to us. Wine was good... More

This is a beautiful winery. Looks like you are a Tuscany winery. The attention to detail is amazing. It reminds me of what a winery would look like if built by Walt Disney. I mean that in the best way. Our wine server was very friendly and knowledgable. We enjoyed the wines. I would definitely come back on our next... More

This vineyard has more rustic appearance than some of the other more polished neighbours. In the courtyard outside there are tables & chairs and guests are welcome to bring a picnic, which is great for families. Once inside the small tasting room the staff were friendly. There was less chat on the wine than in some other wine regions I've... More

What a great place to visit. The setting is beautiful. They have good wines and a great picnic area. We are members of their wine club so we have an excuse to come up once a quarter to pick up our order, have a tasting and a nice picnic. The staff is always friendly and accomodating.

The atmosphere and staff gets an A+. The wine gets a B-. Don't get me wrong, the wine is decent, but I feel the pricing is way too high. If I'm paying $50 plus, for a bottle, I want it to be outstanding. These were not.
