We accidentally discovered Balletto on our last day in Sonoma a year or so ago. It wasn't on our to-see list, but it just happened to be close to another winery at which we stopped. I'm sure glad we did. They have delicious wines (so good that we joined their wine club), and they were fantastically friendly, too.

Their wine is so good that we became members on our first visit. Since then, we've been back 2 more times & plan on visiting many more times in the future. They have a bar-style tasting room that suits it's need and a small gift shop area within the tasting room. The outside patio seating area is very nice with... More

We were heading towards another winery late on a Thursday afternoon, but decided to stop in at Balletto when we saw their sign and noticed that they were open until 5pm on a weekday. Richard was our server and made us feel very welcome. He even provided us with directions to our hotel from their winery. Their $10 tasting fee... More

We were given free passes to the tasting room by our hotel so we decided that between stops we would pop in to see what they had to offer. This winery is a family owned operation and is not the most picturesque setting but they do have several award winning offerings including their Sauvignon Blanc. If you are looking for... More

The grounds were beautiful as well as the building. I thought the wines were delicious and I even bought a couple of bottles. The prices were great, too! We were at other wineries that day and it was our first time in Sonoma; the hostess didn't give us any other samplings off-list and her pours were light. Other wineries gave... More

Staff are inconsistent in the tasting room. First went months ago and had a great experience with Richard with tasting. Enjoyed it so much we joined their wine club. Since joining, our visits and wine club experience was extremely disappointing. Keith in the tasting room is rude and acts inconvenienced when we visit to taste or pick up shipments. Wine... More

I've been here many times, wine club member, and stumbled onto this winery due to a free tasting through my Visa Signature card. Great Wines, Excellent Service, and Wonderful Values! I've met John, the owner, and Anthony, the winemaker, who are both very congenial and humble people. I'm in the retail wine business but I still come to Balletto for... More

My husband and I visited this winery at the very end of a trip to Sonoma. We had a "free tasting" coupon for a place down the road, and that winery was kind enough to recommend Balletto. We came in expecting to do just one last tasting before heading to the airport to go home. Instead, we found several delicious... More

This winery was on our list for day of tasting Sonoma wines. The tasting room is small and was quickly crowded and the 2 pourers were a bit stressed. This was a Thursday and I wondered how they could handle weekend crowds. The wine was very good and reasonably priced and we walked away with 2012 Teresa Chardonnay, 2011 Sexton... More

Its very rustic and basic but the wines are great and well worth tasting. It's still family owned which explains a lot - the wine is the showcase there. Will definitely return. No outside area as it was sooo hot but I hear they do host dinners outside often.
