Just over the levee from Howarth Park, Spring Lake is a more woodsy area surrounding a flood control lake. Fishing, boating (no power), camping, swimming, hiking, walking the 2-3 miles around the lake, biking (courteously, please) are all activities enjoyed by hundreds of locals daily. Free parking on Montgomery drive eastbound, $5-or $7 to park inside (day pass). Reservations available.... More

Isn't it nice to get outside and just enjoy? Spring Lake Park allows for that, and more. Good walking paths and varying foliage makes this a good place to visit regularly.

We spent the day at Spring Lake to swim in the lake and hiked a little around a small fishing lake. The trails were paved, lots of people walking and lots of well behaved dogs on leashes. The swim lake was rather small for a lake, but it was all sandy bottom, no plants in the water. It was clearly... More

Spring Lake is a "go to" place for me as I live in Santa Rosa. It is beautiful, best to go in the morning or late afternoon to avoid the heat. There are always people enjoying a BBQ and playing in the water. I love taking pictures here, it is so picturesque.

I went here a couple days ago and there was such beatiful trails where you can walk up and down hills with good landscape. the lake is gorgeous, you can rent a boat or swimming or simply have a sit in front of the lake and see how beatiful is it the park has got also a playground for children

We had a nice morning walk around the lake and picking blackberries. We would have liked to rent a paddle boat but had plans to hit the county fair. There is a swimming lagoon that looked kind of gross but people clearly go there to hang out all day.

Love this place. I come a few times a year. Perfect place to bring the kids. Very safe with life guards. Tube rental $7 for the day. Easy to stay from 11am until dusk. So much fun!

Every Saturday before April this year I was walking around the lake with my mom and her friend. It was a tradition and has become one since we see more of the family now. It's got incredible panoramic views of all aspect of the lake wherever your heart desires to walk. There are many different paved and off road trails... More

Great place to spend a summer afternoon. I am a family of six two adults and four kids who loves to visit Spring Lake to burn off some built up summer boredom. My teens love to hike the lake while I take the little ones to the great play space "Miss The Water" Oh well. Then the kids love to... More
