Great location!

I love spring lake park. It is a great place to take a walk. The paths are paved and fairly level. Great place to take your grandchildren!

We visit the lake often, as a walk around it is a three mile circuit which is just what we like. Most of it is level, with a few inclines. Just perfect for a pleasant day's exercise.

I absolutely love Spring Lake Park. There are rides and a petting zoo along with a large play area for the kids. During the summer, the fountains are turned on for the kids to play in. They offer paddle boat rentals and the swimming area is just big enough to get in a good swim or lounge around in the... More

Went for a walk around the lake. The noise from the crows when we started to walk was downright deafening. A very pleasant walk by the lake with bird life and deer although we somehow lost the trail at some point and had to be rescued (given directions).

Spring Lake Park is a beautiful park which has a large playground for children, including several rides, a train and lots of picnic area among the trees. There is a snack bar and boat rides on the main lakeand lots of ducks for the kids to feed. There are also trails for hiking and running, of various distances and they... More

This walk/hike was about 5 miles total. We started at Howarth Park, plenty of easy parking, picnic tables, etc, skirted Lake Raphine, then walked through a variety of shrubs, rocky landscape (all on paved trail), with views, and came to Spring Lake Park. Bathroom facilities along the way, drinking fountains, several waste recipticals, handy especially if you bring your dog... More

Day trip from Sonoma to Santa Rosa. Hired bikes from Trek Bicycle Store in town to cycle down to the park. The guys in Trek were brilliant (don't think they get many people hiring bikes but they were falling over themselves to help in a kind of eager to please puppy kind of way!) - and then most of the... Depending on the trail, runs can be relatively flat or include mild hills and could be 2-2.5 miles for once around the lake or 6 miles and up with detours up the hill into the neighboring Annadel State Park. Just enough friendly traffic around to lake that I feel safe running as a single woman.

Nice little park with beautiful reflections of the surrounding trees. Enjoyed walking around it but beware of the one area with big rocks in the path. I tripped on one and skinned my elbow knee and hand right before having to dress up for a wedding.

If you are in or near Santa Rosa and want to take a beautiful, peaceful walk, take the paved trail around Spring Lake. The lake has fine views and great peace all seasons. Weekends in the summer can be a bit crowded on the main trails but still pleasant. You can connect from here to other parks, including the Annadel... More
