This is a great place for jogging, walking, and in the summer time, swimming, having a bear and barbecue.

There are small boats to rent, families from throughout the nearby urban as well as the surrounding wine country area enjoy the small and group sized picnic areas which are accessible to anyone who pays the parking fee or walks into the park. The city planners or maybe the voters made it clear that... More

I visit here frequently to run or walk the trail or take my daughter to adjoining Howarth park. It's beautiful, we'll maintained and I always feel safe. During the summer the cafe is awesome. The lake is unfortunately unswimable but it's a beautiful back drop. There is lots of wildlife to see, too.

Great walking paths with opportunities for fishing picnicking and boating. Very good amenities - tables, restrooms, and accessibility.

We landed in Santa Rosa to check out the brewery, and were looking for a place to hang for an hour or so. We found this part on a map, and set by the lake on one of many benches, to read and just take it easy. At the our reading time, we went over the lagoon to take a... More

You can't swim in the lake but instead swim in the lagoon.. There were 20 or so geese and poo under foot from them!!! This is a small place to swim and the " sand" is more like mud . Not a place I would ever go back too.

Parking good, open to public with tennis courts, baseball diamond, clearly marked paved walking paths. Play area for the young set with bars and swings, Barbeque pits--a real must try for the morning walk or anytime.

There is nothing to dislike about this park, umm unless you don't like the great beautiful outdoors of Northern California.
