Wow! I had no idea who Mr. Burbank was until I saw this on TripAdvisor. We were nearby so we thought we would take a quick stroll through the beautiful gardens. I wish that we had more time...I couldn't pull myself away. What a gorgeous property! The Master gardener was there and happy to answer our questions! Happy we visited!

We just had time for the gardens, but they were lovely. If you are in Santa Rosa, it is certainly worth a stop. We learned a lot from our short visit and our stop at their store. If you are there in the summer, I recommend going early (they open at 8 a.m.) to avoid the heat.

Although Luther Burbank also spent time at his nearby research farm, he lived here and his widow remained here through much of the twentieth century. There are two aspects to this attraction: the gardens, and the house. The gardens are open from 8 am on and are free to walk around. During visitor center hours, there is also an option... More

We happened to find these gardens and immediately signed up for a tour. It was just us and the docent, who gave us insight into the genius of Luther Burbank in creating new types of flowers and trees. The grounds abound with beautiful examples of his results. It is really lovely there. Don't miss a chance to visit this sweet... More

Very worthwhile visit, well-informed docents, beautifully maintained garden, cute gift shop. Located near the center of downtown Santa Rosa; a great spot to start wandering downtown or down the Santa Rosa Creek trail.

The Memorial Garden is an homage to the great Luther Burbank, the master horticulturist and genetic genius and well worth the hour it takes. Many of his cross breading flower masterpieces are on display. We were not there on a group tour guide day but self-guided working tour information is available by cellphone.

Located in downtown Santa Rosa, the home of Luther Burbank's wife is a wonderful way to spend an hour or so learning about this amazing person's journey into plant breeding- from flowers to fruit trees there is little that Luther did not impact. Worth the trip

Lovely gardens and home where Luther Burbank lived and contributed so much to the horticultural field. The tour was small and very interesting; we learned a lot and enjoyed it very much.
