Loved this place. Got a seat at the bar before the place got really packed, bar stools and booths fill up pretty quickly. The place had a old fashioned speakeasy feel to it and I felt as though I could have been in a scene from a Raymond Chandler novel. It was interesting enough just watching the bar staff at... More

A local told us about this place and that there was a jazz / rap gig playing that night. Firstly, what the hell is jazz / rap? I was skeptical. Then i was told that entry was $7 and they had cheap PBR. This convinced me to give it a go. We rolled in at about 11pm at the party... More

Arrived at approx. 2200 and the party was in full swing although the band had not yet arrived. Managed to get a seat near the entrance which was a good move as although we couldn't see the band we were not constantly bumped by the packed out central corridor between the bar and the booths. There are two complaints I... More

The bar is always packed! They book great bands and it's a great place to go if you like to dance. Great for groups too!

The Toledo Show - dance /music would be great. But Harvelle's can't manage their crowd so patrons can see the show. Get here an hour early so you can see, then they let people stand in the aisle and block your View. Bouncer says don't stand at the booths (shoes off), but won't control the ones in the aisle Blocking... More

Harvelle's came recommended so we were looking forward to it. They said they open at 8 and the band goes on at 9. Well the opened 8:30. They were even open for drinks! the band didn't go on until 10:15 - 10:30 ish. They give new meaning to fashionably late. The bartender was friendly, the drinks was great but the band... More

We went to Harvelles on Super Bowl Sunday night. We got the tip from some folks we met at the bar (and the bartender, thanks David) at The Lobster. As you will read here, it is loud and loud isn't always my thing anymore now that I'm 55, but I love a cool bar with a great band and very... More

We spent New Year’s Eve at Harvelle's rocking to Gino Metteo! So much fun! Gino is a must see and Harvelle's was a great little sexy venue to experience him in. The staff was fun, the place was packed, everyone dancing and Gino's rockin’ blues was good and loud. Santa Monica is beautiful. A great way to start the New... More

It's the best.....go with friends or a date or alone even! Great location...often music is TOO loud, but it's a very fun little intimate spot near the Ocean with easy garage parking close by. Don't do the street unless you want a BIG ticket...the is one of my favorite places....it's "dance like nobody's watching " comfortable....Fabulous Music!
