This tour between Santa Monica and Venice beaches is a great activity for those who do not want to walk or bike. Segways are a great way to cruise between the beaches. Segway LA offers both tours and rentals. After having done the tour, I suggest that one would go for a rental and not take the tour. Check out... More

Kendall was a terrific guide and instructor for this Segway tour. He took the time to demonstrate how to use the Segway to 2 senior citizens. We got the hang of this In no time. Kendall made just the right amount of stops on this 2 hr tour of Santa Monica and Venice beaches. He gave us some pretty interesting... More

i have to especially thank Nick for looking after me on our day, I can barely ride a bicycle so was really worried about the Segway. He and Kevin are excellent instructors and Nick really took the time to show us about and keep us straight. It's a great experience, very highly recommended. Great way to see the beach if... More

This was my first time on a Segway and Nick, our tour guide, made it so easy to LEARN how to ride. We did the Santa Monica / Venice Beach tour. It was a GREAT way to experience both beaches!!! We stopped several times (skateboard 'park', pier!) to enjoy the variety of the beaches -sights, sounds, and more! A MUST... More

My boyfriend and I were visiting LA for a wedding and decided to make a vacation out of it. Santa Monica and Venice Beach was a place that we definitely wanted to visit. I found this great deal for a segway tour, looked at reviews and decided to book. I'm so happy that i did. The segways were easy to... More

Riding a segway along the boardwalk from Santa Monica pier to Venice and back is a real treat. It's an easy way to see the sights without bumping into the weird Venetians. And riding/driving a segway is lots of fun. The staff is very attentive and helpful if you have never done this before. Try it!

I booked the 10AM tour on 7th May 2015 and I was the only participant. Paul was my guide and as there was just me and I had used a Segway before, in addition to touring the beaches were also went around the Venice Canals. Paul was a fascinating and knowledgeable guide who also kept a careful eye on me... More

Our first 1.5 hrs. was guided by Paul and he gave us information of the Venice area that we had no knowledge of. The Segways were absolutely fun, We had previous past experience on two other locations, so Paul gave us our last 30min. on our own. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

We booked a family experience with the Segway on Santa Monica beaches. We were initially booked on a tour (4:00 pm), but arrived a few minutes late, so our tour had departed. Anyway, riding a Segway is not that difficult, so we decided to ride by ourselves along the beach. Lots of fun. Had to be careful as some of... More

The Segway Owner, Kevin, was so nice! We had time pressure, and Kevin helped us out and we enjoyed it. It was our first time, and our timeslot was for 10 am, and we received the instructions from Louis, who was great. We took the sidewalk to Venice Beach, and people were looking and us, and even took photos of... More

Staying in Santa Monica

Neighborhood Profile
Santa Monica
Santa Monica is a coastal town that maintains a balance as a tourist destination and as an area with a thriving local culture. On the beach, bikers, roller-bladers, runners and walkers move along the famed bike path enjoying the beautiful Los Angeles weather. The solar-powered Ferris wheel at the Santa Monica pier spins high above the water, while park revelers scream with delight riding the roller coaster. Inland from the beach, Third Street Promenade bustles with shoppers and street performers, where every block seems to have a musical or acrobatic act drawing crowds giving Santa Monica both the feeling of a laid-back beach town and a major commercial hub.
