The Foxen shack is such a pleasant departure from the more antiseptic tasting rooms. I've been twice, and I liked the wine better the first time, but I bought a bottle each time. It may be a little overpriced, but the people are nice, the place is cute, and I would always go back.

We rushed to this vineyard - they were farther along the Foxen Canyon trail and they closed at 4:00. The tasting room was small. The staff were friendly and the wine was good.

It takes a very serious professional to create a very high quality wine. Not only do they need to know what they are doing in the vinification process but they also have to have years of experience in the vineyard, in their area, with a fundamental understanding of weather patterns, water availability, vineyard management and a sleuth of economics, marketing,... Foxen was such a great experience. Keep in mind that you can do 3 tasting at Foxen. There is Foxen 7200 in the shack. Great place to start, picturesque and the folks are super nice and knowledgeable about the wine. This is one of the places where Sideways was shot. Foxen is known for their Pinots so it is a... Different. It was like this little shack on the side of the road. Dirt parking lot. The doors were open so unfortunately, it was December so it was cold. Bathroom is a porta potty. The staff was very nice and informative. 'Tasting Room' was small as it was like a shack. What was strange is that they had a new... More

Went as a fairly large group and all enjoyed the 2 for 1 tastings at the wine shack. This is a smaller area but does have picnic tables outside with a beautiful view.

Very scenic drive along the Foxen Canyon Road to get to the Foxen Vineyard wine tasting room. Average wines except for a very good Pinot Noir that was a little bit pricey at $62. Foxen also has a shack further along the road where Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, etc. are served. $10 tasting fee. Very good service. We settled on the... More

Foxen Vineyard has exceptional wine, and the tasting room is very nice, especially the outdoors area.

This was the only place we visited during our trip where we didn't buy a bottle of wine. That should say it all. Maybe we came during the wrong time... Our server was dealing with multiple groups and apologized several times during our tasting. At one point we considered just walking out in the middle of the tasting.

We had met one of the managers of Foxen Vineyard as while back at a wine event and he gave us 2 for 1 tickets to try their wine tasting so went last weekend. There are two locations along Foxen Canyon Road you can choose from. The "Shack" and right down the road their main tasting room. The shack was... More
