Many thanks to Cap'n Gabe and crew, Megan and Greg! We had a wonderful time. Saw lots of sea life, and although the Humpbacks were a bit "elusive" we were able to capture some good footage of whales, dolphins and otter parties :-)). Not to be missed if you are in Santa Cruz.

We started with a short orientation by Maureen, our naturalist, who was helpful and attentive throughout. During the cruise we saw large groups of dolfins, sea lions, a few sea otters and about 10 humpback whales. So majestic and calm. The crew was very friendly and were always on the lookout for marine life. Highly recommended.

This was by far the best thing we did while in Santa Cruz. We saw 6 whales all feeding with about 200 sea lions, and dolphins too, the naturalist on board was full of useful information. Got a bunch of pics of whales breaching and tails for the whole trip awesome will definitely do it again.

This was a fantastic trip! The crew and boat were awesome! Maureen our naturalist was personable, funny, and helpful. She made her rounds to all areas of the boat and made you feel very welcomed. We were given abundant information on all aspects of the marine life in this beautiful bay. The crew was very organized and alerted us to... More

Please go out of your way to drive to Monterrey Bay to go whale watching, even if you are staying in San Francisco. I have been 4 times out of Dana Point (Orange County) and never saw anything close to this concerning whales. ( I did see a 5,000 strong huge group of dolphins feeding at the same time but... More

We enjoyed a well organized trip on the Stagnaros Family whale watching trip. The captain, crew, and naturalists on board were very engaging and eager to share their knowledge with us.

We saw so many whales on our boat ride. It was too many to count. Make sure you bring Meclazine for seasickness. I was glad I had some otherwise I would have been throwing up the whole time. Tons of seals and sea otters. We even saw dolphin and a small shark fin as well as jellyfish floating on surface.... More

Couldn't be happier with this trip! Jen, the Marine Biologist, was awesome! She spent time with everyone explaining what we saw and some general knowledge of the area. She was great with the kids on board. The captain had some good narrative as well. We got to see sea otters, a couple dolphins, sea lions.. but the highlight was a... More

First time whale watching and I don't think I'll ever be able to top my experience! First off we upgraded to the captains deck for an extra $25 each which is worth it. There is a limited amount of space up there, I believe 6/8 but that's plenty of room to relax and not fight for a view or a... More
