If you don't get out and spend time in nature - you miss out on mother nature's wonderful surprises each and every day. I drove along the boardwalk around to the natural arch and stopped a few times and took photos. There are lots of areas where you can stop to take photos. I was time limited so did not... More

Park on one of the side streets closer to Natural Bridges, and ride East towards the boardwalk. Stop at the Surfing Museum, and then head to the boardwalk for lunch.

Very nice short drive from highway#1 that will bring you to Santa Cruz boardwalk area. Has a few photogenic spots. To access, along highway#1, turn into Swift street and go till end, it will bring you to West Cliff drive.

This is a nice bit of coastline in Santa Cruz. We rented cruisers from Pacific Cycles and were glad to find there was a shared pedestrian/cycle path. The accessible bit of coastline is only a couple of miles long, so it's a manageable ride, but you'll have to dodge the other people on the path and there are lots of... More

Enjoyed the surfing action! We drove to the end of West Cliff Drive, past beautiful homes at sunset. What could be better? The view of Monterey Bay was spectacular and the drive so beautiful.

We took a drive around Santa Cruz after enjoying a few hours at the beach boardwalk and came across West Cliff drive. There was free parking and restrooms, but during the busy times you may have to search for parking, especially when surf is up and the surfers are out in force. We walked along the cliff path and was... More

I've found this place on Fodor's guide, and I thought it was an interesting place to drive by and take some pictures. But the place is "ok" and not that interesting at all..... Go to Lovers Point Park, in Monterey, if you want a very nice spot to enjoy the sun and the view.

We walk on West Cliff just about every day and see something (or someone) new and different. Great whale watching all through the year.

I love driving along the water and watching the waves. The houses are beautiful and there are alot of places to pull over and enjoy the sites.

Ocean view paved walking path goes for miles alongside this coastal stretch in Santa Cruz. I pack a picnic and grab a spot overlooking the ocean on West Cliff Drive and spend the entire day relaxing and enjoying the sound of the surf (after a long walk.) Beautiful drive but it's even better to walk it so you can really... More
