Lots of restaurants, and as you would expect, burgers, and deep fried foods. This is a half-mile wharf so you don't feel like you've wasted your time taking a walk on the wharf. Its big enough that they allow some limited parking. Views are what you'd expect of the Santa Cruz bay.

I like the wharf because you can wander along and see so many sights. People fishing, taking photos, speaking different languages. I have never been impressed with most of the staff in the shops though. Several times I've gone in and most are staffed by kids who seem to wish they were elsewhere and largely ignore anyone coming in to... More

It's a boardwalk with tourist trap restaurants what do you expect? Hey it's a fun place to walk down and watch the tourists and locals fish. Worth the walk when there's not much else to do.

I went to college at UCSC. When my parents visited we sometimes ate on the wharf. Visiting now, I see that Some of the restaurants are quite good, but none are world-class. It's kinda the upscale beach-boardwalk for the over 40 crowd. Fun, nostalgic, certainly good enough to avoid complaints--but not a mind-blowing culinary tour de force.

This is great for walking. So many restaurants to choose from albeit tad expensive but thats what you have to pay for to eat with a view. So many sea lions snorting and lazying, its quite a sight if you can mute their volume in your mind :) The view is spectacular. Vast expanse of water with some sailboats here... More

Riva restaurant. Great food. I really like the prices in their happy hour food and drink menu. Calamari the best!

We enjoyed the casual walk from the boardwalk out to the end of the pier in search of the "perfect" seafood restaurant to dine in one evening. The view looking out from the pier towards the boardwalk, brightly lit in the dark night, was well worth the walk. As a fisherman, I enjoyed talking to other fishermen on the pier... More

I had heard good things, but was very disappointed. Yes, I expected the crowds, but the wharf and area are absolutely filthy dirty. I realize it can't be kept completely clean, but I didn't even want to touch the railing because it was so horribly filthy. The few trash cans were filled to overflowing, and there are large open areas... More

I thought this wharf would have attractive little special shops & good restaurants, but it was the usual tourist tat & expensive cafes, pretending to be up-market restaurants. We looked into most restaurants along the wharf & some looked in need of a make-over. Some were very old fashioned & didn't look fresh enough to sit & enjoy food.
