Lots of food, great space to walk, and SO FUN to whale watch and view the sea lions swimming and chilling out under the pier!

While we walked down the wharf, we saw seals and dolphins nearby as well as an abundance of birds. Touristy shops were interspersed with restaurants, but nothing that unique.

This is a long wharf lined with shops and restaurants as well as great views of the Santa Cruz boardwalk. What I enjoyed the most was watching all the seals that are under the wharf lazing about. There are viewing areas towards the end of the wharf where the deck is cut away and you can look down at them,... More

The wharf seems like it should be nice, but unfortunately is quite run down and several homeless with flagrant language screaming at each other. Families with small children beware. Such a shame, as I'm sure the wharf was nice in its day.

Many shops and restaurants but the main attraction was the sea lions. We probably saw upwards of 50 congregating at the end of the pier and sunning themselves. Parking on the wharf (cheap).

Get aboard the private Sea Stag XI or its larger cousin with the EXTREMELY competent staff at Santa Cruz Whale Watching (special kudos to our captain on 4 September 2014 and our super friendly and knowledgeable naturalist Megan Petersen) and admire the fauna this marvellous bay has to offer. Not to be missed, for certain!!!

We were checking out a rather large pod of Sea Lion off the end. a mom and baby on the cross bars underneath and who doesn't like the barking they do when fighting for a place to sleep. Just watch out for the old overly expensive places to eat.

My teenage daughter and senior mother took a walk on the wharf/pier. Sea lions underneath the pier were very entertaining. Lots of little shops. Several public restrooms. So much fun, great place for family time.

A great old pier, but whew!! Food was not cheap! Still fun. The beach is lovely and the nearby Booardwalk is wonderful.

I rented a stand up paddleboard from the shack on the pier, while my young son and dad rented a kayak. The price is $30 for 2 hours for the paddleboard, and $30 for 3 hours for the kayak. The fee includes all the equipment and wetsuits. The employees showed me how to use the paddleboard and made me feel... More
