We stopped here this past august 2014 but also visited the summer of 2013. On our first visit we turned around when we got to a point that we thought there was nothing left to see but on our 2014 visit there was a festival going on so along with visiting the shops along the way, we went to the... This was a fun place to stop. I'm sure that it's way busier in the summer, but it was kind of nice that it wasn't too crowded. There are several restaurants, some shops, arcades, and a nice beach. It was a fun place to spend a few hours.

Loved the shops and restaurant variety. The sea lions that hang out under the pier are quite amazing. A great walk in the morning to start off your day.

Walked the wharf and found great little gift shops, nice wine tasting and watching sail boats and great view of the sea lions. The sea lions look like beached whales on the wharf. You also can watch the surfers and the boardwalk activities.

The Wharf is always a great place to spend a few hours - walking around - looking in the little touristy shops - having a great meal at one of the restaurants - Beautiful view of the bay. I do miss the old days when you could actually see the fishing boats unloading.

walking on the wharf is a great thing to do early in the morning. weather permitting. There are plenty of spots to stop for a cup of coffee. We like to walk to the end and get a cup then sit on the benches and listen to the sea lions while you enjoy the sun. It's nothing special coffee so... More

I particularly recommend going out on the wharf (drive or walk) before sunset, and then have a drink or snack at Olitas upstairs 3/4 of the way out the wharf. It has fantastic views of surfers, the lighthouse and even the amusement park (from the front of the restaurant). It is worth at trip out on the wharf just for... More

We took our time walking down the pier, went inside the different stores, bought some chocolate and salt water taffy, at the end of the pier you can see the sea lions swimming and others resting on the lower beams of the pier, then lunch, it was a wonderful afternoon to enjoy with my friends. Awesome view of the Boardwalk.

You can drive or walk out on the wharf. They have several restaurants and shops. We always stop to watch the sea lions lounging on one of the docks. The views are great and it's a great place to just wander and people watch.
