The wharf is always lovely with the ocean and view of the Boardwalk. There are restaurants, stores, parking (not cheap) and occasional events. I've lived here for years and we always enjoy it. There are good views of the sea lions at the end.

Incredible views of Monterey Bay and Santa Cruz coastline. A selection of eating establishments-restaurants, cafes, candy stores and fish markets, and souvenir shops. Other attractions-- watching the Sea Lions, fishing from the pier (there are bait and tackle shops, if you didn't bring your own), people watching and just walking around. There are a few table and benches so you... More

Plenty of dining establishments to choose from, some shopping thrown in, with beautiful views, parking available, but save the $ and walk out.

Every time I come to Santa Cruz and visit the wharf I feel like a kid in a candy store! The sights, the smells, the people watching. It's spring break in Santa Cruz and the boardwalk was hopping. The highlight of the wharf is going to the end and watching the sea lions! Some sleep, some sunbathe and others swim... More

We walked up and down this on two different days. The seals were really something else! They were so cute, all sleeping huddled together. Really a neat place, unlike a lot of other places I have been! Would love to go back ASAP.

When ever we go to Santa Cruz, we always go to the wharf. It is a great place to people watch, including the surfers. Wonder bar's and restaurant's too. Cute shops and of course salt water taffy, yum.

We walked it thinking we would find a nice restaurant... it's just in a terrible spot for the evening sun blasting in the west side, and the birds making it very dirty. Staff from the kitchens were hanging out the doors smoking - just not a great experience.

I walked the length of the boardwalk and walked to the end of the wharf and discovered sea lions. Whereas the sea lions near San Francisco's Fisherman's Wharf were noisy and fragrant, these sea lions were relatively quiet, resting on the boards that make up the structure of the pier. In fact, if you didn't look down to the pier... More

the wharf offers great little shops, treasures to discover and you want great food well you've come to the place to find it. The restaurants offer really good food and service.
