The Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk remains much the same as it has for the last 40 years, fun, close to the Bay Area, and free to enter. These things all make for a good day out with the family. The Giant Dipper remains super rickety and scary, but a ton of fun. The other rides are all good, and really... More

the boardwalk is a great place with awesome access to the beach. The boardwalk itself is more for kids than for adults however the food is cool because it is fair like in the way and types of food sold. the boardwalk is a fun atmosphere with a lot going on and it doesn't cost to get in just to... We visited the boardwalk in February 2015 and this was the highlight of our trip. Great old, traditional beach boardwalk. Amazing weather and pictures. Will definitely return in the summer.

Nothing compares to this Boardwalk. It has roller coasters, a haunted castle ride, bumper cars, a Cave Train, a carousel you get rings to throw in a clowns mouth, food options all around, and my favorite mini golf spot in the US (Neptune's Kingdom). In the summertime the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk hosts free concerts that are great to go... More

It was perfect weather out for our first trip to the Boardwalk. We really loved the beach area and was able to find some small shells for souvenirs! Lol. The actual Boardwalk was very exciting to see with all the games and rides. Although we didn't ride anything this time I plan on it next time. At least the awesome... More

A visit to the Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk can't be beat. A historic landmark, it harkens back to the days before computers, smartphones, and yes, even before television was invented. The most exciting place for families, young people, and sweethearts to visit for all out fun in the early 20th century. It still deserves to be on everyone's Top 10... More

Three parts to my comments: 1-its great for small kids!!! Get there at opening and have several hours with almost no crowds. Great, simple kids rides. Old fashion fun. 2-For teens its a great, safe place to hang out and have fun. Crowds increase but there's a great positive energy to the place. 3-Evening-Gross. Almost as if a switch is... More

My grand children from out of town always want to go to the Boardwalk. It is very family friendly and with the beach immediately adjacent (and a big wide sandy beach at that), and fabulous views of Monterey Bay it is a wonderful adventure. There are a wide variety of rides from scary to mild so that the whole family... More

Old fashioned setting at Santa Cruz beach Boardwalk! Free admission just to walk around, rides , attractions food etc, proportionally priced but do remember this is an amusement park. There are many alternative food choices from healthy to deeply fried, oily goodness! On the beach, near the municipal wharf, bowling alley and many restaurants to choose from. The boardwalk has...
