This is beyond a doubt the most beautiful campus in the University of California system. It is nestled in a glorious redwood forest like a glamorous sky resort. No doubt all the oxygen emitted helps the students with their studies!

UCSC is the most beautiful campus on the west coast surrounded by the ocean and the redwoods.. An excellent university on both an undergraduate and graduate level, world-class for both the arts and sciences

We took our grandson to visit the campus. We were on the 9am tour and the introduction was excellent. The tour bus took us to the top of the campus and we walked for quite a bit with our tour guide. It was informative and beyond beautiful!

We drove around the 6000 acre campus. Beautiful redwood trees. Dorms nestled in hills - interesting architecture.

I found myself cheering for their mascot, the banana slug. The campus is exceptionally beautiful and even if you are not looking for univeristies, this one is worth a peek and a walk trhough the lovely redwoods.

Commuting to and from campus seems daunting with the shuttle or buses (or bike) being only option. Like the forestry but buildings were underwhelming. Disappointed unable to view the dorms/dining hall and see one of many Colleges.

A not to be missed drive if your visiting Santa Cruz during a period when the students are not on campus. My youngest will be a freshman so we were just there for orientation. I want a do over! The campus is amazing . As a parent I could not have dreamed of a better location for learning. Central California... More

I walked up to the campus from my house, the walk through town wasn't to bad but once you get to the very steep hill that leads to the campus it get's good. The further towards the campus you get, the more nature you're immersed in. A perfect fusion of learning and nature, Passed a few streams on the way... More
