What a view from some spots. Just a beautiful campus - could get lost there. Wonderful redwoods, great drive around.

Visited on a college tour, people were spaced out, not so friendly and the campus layout is bazaar. Worried about my daughter getting mugged, huge beutiful forest, but does not feel safe
The campus at UCSC is the most beautiful of all the UC's. Built around a wilderness area, deer, racoons, squirrels and other woodsy animal share the campus with the students. The views from around campus are breathtaking. Students wander through redwood forest trails and meadows with deer grazing to classes. The gym and athletic fields look over the entire Monterey... The UCSC campus is set in one of the most beautiful locations of any campus in the US. Between the (second/third-growth) redwood forests among which the academic buildings are nestled and the expansive views of Monterey Bay from the lower part of campus, there's spectacular nature everywhere. The campus is on the side of a hill, with bridges across several... More

Went on a tour of the campus on our own. Very friendly and helpful people everywhere we went. Looks like a fun place to go to school.
It's a beautiful campus with breathtaking vistas and redwood pathways. It feels serene and peaceful and yet is filled with bustling students giving it a vibrant and alive feeling. If you're considering schools in California, or you just want to experience the beauty of the outdoors, check out UCSC.

I recommend devoting the whole day to see what the campus and it's surroundings have to offer. The campus is friendly to visitors by day, but campus security officers make their... More

We thought there would be more signs or campus maps. Somehow we ended up lost in the forest, mostly without cellphone reception. After an hour and a half of winding... More
