Adventure Out is a group that provides services (surfing, backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking) in different areas on the West Coast. It looks like it's mainly California. Took my niece, age 23, for the two 3 hour sessions. The classes take place over two consecutive days. It was well worth the 175$ for a total of 6 hours instruction. Recently had an amazing weekend with these guys - a couple friends of mine and I put together an Adventure Weekend with Adventure Out. We did the Rock Climbing class on Saturday, and the Wilderness Survival class on Sunday. Total blast!
