We visited on a Saturday and had a fairly good time. Park was clean, lines for rides weren't too bad. My biggest complaint is the cost of the food and extras. A chicken strip meal with drink was about $15. I was experiencing sticker shock when I saw a refillable soda option for $15. Definitely movie theater prices. My daughter... More

We purchased our tickets online for a good discount on admission, meal and parking. Went to the park on a Monday and the lines for all of the rides were between short and non-existent. Food and drinks in the park were way overpriced at $12 for a hotdog and $5 for a soda and $8 for popcorn. The refillable drink... More

Much too crowded for rides and food concessions! Wait for rides was almost an hour. However, for smaller children, the kiddie rides were much better. At food/drink concessions, we waited at least 20 minutes every time. It appears that the park is understaffed and staff has little incentive to hurry up on their work. We were there on a Saturday... Was brainwashed into repeating the title by the loudspeaker at park entrance-- if you've waited to pick someone up here, you'll understand. Well it was a great day at the Great America (loudspeaker insists BEST DAY EVER... I can still hear it...) We went on Thursday, arrived about 12pm, no waiting to park. We paid the extra $3 for preferred... More

Big rides and very good for teens. It is not the best option if you have little ones. I like the fact that it is not spread out and hence unlike Disney you quickly walk from one ride to another. We went during the weekend and still the queues were not very long. You should take your swimsuits with you.... More

For teens and those who love thrill rides like roller coasters, Great America is a fun place to go do the rides. Other rides I like are the Loggers Run Rip Roaring Rapids, and for a view of the area, do the Sky Tower or Delta Flyer. There is a variety of food - average theme park fair. Or when... More

We started our day with one thing in mind, a gopro on a rollercoaster. But they would not let me take it on any coasters. One thing is a must for this park is if you pay extra for the Fast Track, you get to go on the rides faster and do not have to wait in long lines!!!!! Also... More

We had a fun day..loved the coasters..we did invest in the fast lane pass option and it was worth it. We went on a saturday and it was pretty busy..if a ride went down, when it opened everyone got in line and we could bypass about 45minutes of waiting and walk right on. Food is average theme park food, a... More

Love that you can ride rides then hit the water and float down a lazy river. Change rooms and lockers available. Buy their refillable drink container and refill all day long.
