This was a fun one day visit with my children. The purchase of the drink and meal deal was worth it - we shared my meals, spreading them out. Park has good rollercoasters, especially the new wooden one - fastest I have been on and lose your breath the whole ride! The park is in need of maintenance. One ride... More

Great America in Santa Clara is a wonderful place to spend the day with the entire family. It is always very well maintained, clean, and safe, with rides and entertainment for everyone. The younger kids especially love the water activities and the teens can't get enough of adrenaline pumping rides. If getting wet or an adrenaline rush isn't your thing,... More

My boyfriend and I (early 20s) went to Great America and it was beautiful, however some rides were not open, which took away from the experience. Of course the food was over priced, but that is to be expected at an amusement park. We took nice pictures at the front entrance, but once again, they were over prized. The park... More

This place was fun. I think the new roller coaster is a great new addition. The only thing is that I wish that the prices were a tiny bit lower and that the park was open more often. I also wish the park had more recycling bins. I didn't see any when I was there. The staff was really friendly... More

I read about great america in a fiction book and thought it was not real my junior year in high school I found out that in fact great america did exist and I was obsessed with making it my goal to go there. Senior year in high school by some sort of miracle I got the opportunity to go since... More

To be honest, California's Great America is the only place where you can go if you stay in Santa Clara - there is literally nothing else in there. We've been there just before the Halloween, so everything was themed. I'm a huge Rollercoasters fan, so visiting the place was really fun for me (they have more than 3 coeasters there).

Rides, entertainment and food -- all lots of fun here for all ages. We love the Boomerang Bay water park which is included with admission. Get the season pass if you are within an hour of this place. You won't be disappointed.

It took us a long while before we could make a commitment to go to the park. We had a great time except for some "technical difficulties" that were not allow us on a few rides. We love the new Gold Rush, the Vortex, Grizzly, Drop Zone...etc. There is also a water park for big kids and little kids, perfect... More

My company rented out the park for a work event around Halloween a few years back. As far as reviewing goes...this means I didn't wait in any lines, but I did get to ride almost ever ride a few times. The roller coaster are great and because it was Halloween time there were all sorts of atmosphere to keep you... More
