Lots of thrill rides, especially water rides. But you'll spend all day in lines. First for tickets, then at the gate, for food, the restroom, and rides of course. Speaking of food, it's nothing special...all mall food like Panda Express and subway but twice the cost.

Great America has been open since the late 70's in Santa Clara, CA. This park is showing some signs of its age. Some peeling paint, cracked asphalt, and just a bit dingy. Maybe I'm a little ociky because I love Disney Parks, and their overall attention to detail. Before you ever get into the park, you have to go through... More

My husband and I have very mixed feelings about Great America. We've been coming for 3 years and were Gold season pass holders for two summers but will never purchase those passes again. We go on weekends, get there at opening, and love the thrill rides. However, thuggy high school kids and even FAMILIES are constantly cutting the long lines,... More

I have been coming here all my life as I am a Bay Area native. Great America is still a great place to come have fun for thr day or just a few hours. We got Season Passes this year and we have been taking advantage of them since we only live 20 mins away. Best deal. Boomerang Bay is... More

I still remember when the place was called Marriott's Great America and Paramount's Great America. now it's just California's Great America. Lots of fun coaster and rides. They've made a lot of changes to to the park over the years...they've even sold 1/2 the parking lot and built a bunch of office buildings along Great America Pkwy so you can't... More

We got an online coupon which was $32 entry for the park. Amazing value for a theme park with over 20 rides and an inclusive water park. Best rides were Gold Striker (super fast), Flight Deck and The Demon. Went on a weekday and the lines were short. It was a hot day and Boomerang Bay was perfect with all... More

We were at a group event for a couple of days at the park in mid-June and had a really nice time. Our 3 yr. old had a good time there and so did we. Plenty to do for small ones, teens, and adults. They had a really nice fireworks display, the Gold Striker and Flight Deck roller coasters were... More

Just before starting up the lift hill on Logger's Run, I saw that the belt had stopped and the log ahead of me was stuck. A bar was up to keep my log from starting the ascent for a little while, but after about five minutes the bar came down and up I went. I got stuck right behind the... More

A local favorite since the 70's Great America has been slowly changing and includes a surprisingly nice water park section, Boomerang Bay. The park is perfect for 6-12 year olds, with a nice variety of rides from fast thrill rides to more casual ones. The crowds during the summer weekdays are very very light, allowing a lot of riding with... More

The park is ok, as far as being interesting. The ride lines move very slow! The staff is alright. Boomerang bay is a very nice addition! Although it is fairly small, it has a variety of water attractions. Great America is good for children of all ages, and adults! Has a variety of rides so everyone will enjoy! Food here... More
