California'a Great America is one of the best amusement parks in The San Francisco Bay Area! I always enjoy going there with friends & family! The food is good! The rides are still exciting! The shows are still good too!

You get a great deal when you buy and admission ticket to the park because you get the water park included with it. The great thing is that you don't have to exit the main park in order to go into the water park. You can go in and out as you please. There are a few down sides to... More

If you live in Santa Clara County, and you have children between 2 and 11, then buying the season passes is the way to go. We go after work 2 or 3 times a week, mostly for a walk in a safe clean environment. We aren't really outdoors people. We'd live in the City or Manhattan if we could. However,... More

The rides here are incredible and with the water park, it's a great place for the kids and adults alike to have fun. The only problem is the food and and everything else to buy there is expensive. We usually go once a year but have to bring plenty of money for food and snacks. On the good side, you... More

I have fond memories of visiting Great America in my teenage years and really looked forward to taking mykids here this summer. Tciket prices were reasonable, buying online in advance, but the park is strict about bringing your own food in - you're not allowed so you have to eat your own food outside the park. If you're arriving on... More

We visited on a Saturday and had a fairly good time. Park was clean, lines for rides weren't too bad. My biggest complaint is the cost of the food and extras. A chicken strip meal with drink was about $15. I was experiencing sticker shock when I saw a refillable soda option for $15. Definitely movie theater prices. My daughter... More

We purchased our tickets online for a good discount on admission, meal and parking. Went to the park on a Monday and the lines for all of the rides were between short and non-existent. Food and drinks in the park were way overpriced at $12 for a hotdog and $5 for a soda and $8 for popcorn. The refillable drink... More

Much too crowded for rides and food concessions! Wait for rides was almost an hour. However, for smaller children, the kiddie rides were much better. At food/drink concessions, we waited at least 20 minutes every time. It appears that the park is understaffed and staff has little incentive to hurry up on their work. We were there on a Saturday... Was brainwashed into repeating the title by the loudspeaker at park entrance-- if you've waited to pick someone up here, you'll understand. Well it was a great day at the Great America (loudspeaker insists BEST DAY EVER... I can still hear it...) We went on Thursday, arrived about 12pm, no waiting to park. We paid the extra $3 for preferred... More
