My 11 years old daughter and I spent a day at California Great America, and i must say it totally worth losing my voice from screaming on all the rides. My daughter and I had so much fun and i think she want to go there again. Hopefully i will be more prepared next time. p.s. the food are over... More

We were on our way to San Francisco and this amusement park was on the way, so we decided to spend one day in San Jose/Santa Clara to go to this place. It's not bad actually, though it does feel like a smaller version of Knott's, with the Peanuts gang themed area for kids. There's a cool 2-story carousel at... More

We have taken season passes for this park three years in a row ! :) Both my kids and husband enjoy the rides and I am usually the one waiting for them and waving crazily when they pass by in some rollercoaster or car :):). If sitting in a ride that makes you jerk, upside down or go round and... More

This amusement parks has so many thrill rides of all levels for people who can handle speed or no speed. Just loved it. It was too big for us to cover in one day :)

Given the big name Parks are waay overpriced for what you get, this park was not too huge and most rides great for families. Although lines were about 30 - 50 minutes (it was a Saturday, after all), the thrill of the rides were worth it. The biggest complaints I have were the cost of food and the long line-ups... More

Having been to some amazing amusement parks, this one was "ok". Typical complaints such as crazy overpriced food (and no healthy choices), long lines for rides, etc. We did the fast lane so the lines were non-existent for the most part. The fast lane does nothing for you in the water park though. Best rides - gold striker was a... More

I have not been to this park for approximately 17 years. Back then it was Paramounts Great America - the shows and characters added to the experience and it was quite the destination. Having visited three times back then and having had a great experience with the family I was not expecting it to currently be so generic. While the... More

Having been to most of the big name parks-Magic Mtn, Cedar Point, Disney's and the like (I am over 240 coasters), this park is a bit of a disappointment, fairly small and only a handful of good attractions. My kids (17, 20 and 22) particularly were bothered by the extremely slow loading and/or slow lines almost everywhere. They seemed to... More

Flight Deck (formerly Top Gun) and Gold Striker roller coasters were our families favorite rides. We went during the week of August 10th 2015 and there were hardly any lines due to school just starting up in the area! Perfect timing. Sad to see the park not kept up with as well as years past. Not nearly as clean. Hard... More
