I took my daughter and her friend to ca Great America and they had a blast. There were only a couple issues with the park. First of all, there are many teenagers cutting in line and swearing. Secondly, most of the rides were way too crazy for my daughter and her friend and usually they love roller coasters. more

I am spoiled by being near Disney Parks. The lines here were long and in some cases the rides were not friendly for what they call "people of unusual proportions". In other words if you are not skinny this many not be the park for you. Unfortunately you do not find that out until after the long lines. There were... more

This is a great theme park. My wife and I took our son here and had a great time. We especially enjoyed the Nickelodeon area as our son is big SpongeBob Squarepants fan. He was able to take a photo with SpongeBob and also Patrick, his two favorite characters. My wife and I enjoyed a break watching the park's new... more

This place has the sickest coasters in the Bay Area! Invertigo is still my favorite, though I actually enjoy Flight Deck (formerly Top Gun) more now that I don't have to listen Kenny Loggins in line. Apart from the coasters, the park is definitely geared more toward kids. I've taken my nephew a few times and he loves the water... more

If you do go to "Great??" America, please do not bring a purse. You will not be allowed to take it on roller coasters and will have to leave it in unsupervised cubbies. My daughters' bags were stolen today. According to security, this happens every day and they don't care enough to do anything about it. Other reasons not to... more

We recently went to Great America and had a great time! It's nice that there is a waterpark there too! If you plan to get a locker, get one closer to the waterpark side so that it is more convenient to get to. They do not let you switch lockers if you've had it over an hour and it's $12... more

The park is beautifully laid out and maintained. Most of my experience is with East Coast Theme Parks, and this one was above average in cleanliness and ease of finding your way around. The Invertigo and Delirium are some amazing rides, and there are several choices of major roller coasters in every category. Great America is owned by Cedar Fair... more

First of all if you're planning a trip here...go on a Sunday in April! We waited 10 minutes max for rides that are usually a 60 minute wait, it was GREAT! They have a ton of great roller coasters, the type that you need get your feet used to being on solid ground once you get off the ride. I... more

Great America (no longer Paramount's) has changed its tune and now centers largely on families. There are several kids' areas, and most of the recent ride additions are intended to be enjoyed by families. There are a few roller coasters- none as large or long as those at nearby Marine World. In fact, they had removed a few roller coasters... more

Went there when we were younger, thought We'd take the kids. Park added a water park since we'd been there, thought it would be fun. Not the same as when we went. It was okay. No real shows, nothing showing in the IMAX, water park was small compared to some we've visted in the northwest. Did have Nickelodeon live-but not... more
