Close to both downtown and good seafood eateries, I highly recommend Shoreline Park as a after-meal strolling location. On street level, there are winding bike paths occupied by riders and dog walkers. Take a set of wooden stairs down and you find yourself immersed in scenic views. Keep an eye out for dolphins and grey whales. There is often a bit of a breeze, so don't forget your sweater or jacket. A nice walk, it is approx 1 1/2 miles if you walk from one end to the other and back. Such fun. Bring your dog. The locals love to "talk dog." More

Located alongside the Pacific Ocean, it has wonderful views towards the Channel Islands - but where does not in Santa Barbara. It is one of the smaller beaches there.
