Excellent value tasting at $10, especially as the glass is included. The Vineyard Pinot Noir and Syrah are both a high step above their Santa Rita Hills versions. Decent Chardonnay and Riesling round out the 6 selections. Sandra was a knowledgable pourer.

I haven't been to all the wineries in the Santa Ynez valley area, but I've visited a lot. My favorites are Lafond and Rusack, in that order. In both cases the wines are very good, the views and scenery are magnificent, and the service is friendly and enthusiastic. Both are a little isolated and off the beaten track. The tasting... More

Always one of my favorites in Santa Rita Hills, both for the pinot noirs and the scenery. I like the glass window between the tasting room and the barrel room so you can see what's going on during harvest. And can't beat the view at sunset.

I came here for a wedding so I can't comment about the tasting room but about the venue itself. The location can't be beat. The backdrop was beautiful with the vines and the trees and the hills. A wonderful breeze was coming in and lucky for us the weather was nice. From a guests perspective everything went smoothly and run... More

Very nice. This was a little off the beaten track but nice. Had nice picnic area. It was very windy that day so couldn't sit out there for long. Everyone was very nice. We tried to sit out at the tables and 'snack'. It didn't work out so well because of the wind. We still enjoyed the location. We sat... More

I've been a member of LaFond Winery for many many years now and the opening of a tasting room in SB is refreshing in a sea of mediocrity - which is ironic for Santa Barbara - since there are so many great wineries within a short drive. I'm mainly a red drinker and the Pinots and Syrahs are fantastic, but... More

A good friend that we know loves good wine recommended us to visit LaFond. Not easy to find, and way out on Santa Rosa Road in Lompoc. Wow - was it worth the visit! The tasting room is beautifully designed by the winery owner/architect - Pierre LaFond. Of the five wines on the tasting list - I loved each one!... More

This winery was recommended by our tour guide and it was a very pleasant surprise! This is a hidden gem that has amazing chardonnay and a neat outdoor seating area. If you are in the area, you must add this to your list!

Great drive in the hill to a great destination with good wine and gourmet items. The wine stewards were very helpful and informative.

I went on a 4 winery tour and this was by far my favourite for a few reasons. One being the red wines were all very good! The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The president and his wife were helping out and pouring the wines so we were able to ask them any questions we had. They had also... More
