Excellent value tasting at $10, especially as the glass is included. The Vineyard Pinot Noir and Syrah are both a high step above their Santa Rita Hills versions. Decent Chardonnay and Riesling round out the 6 selections. Sandra was a knowledgable pourer.

I haven't been to all the wineries in the Santa Ynez valley area, but I've visited a lot. My favorites are Lafond and Rusack, in that order. Always one of my favorites in Santa Rita Hills, both for the pinot noirs and the scenery. I like the glass window between the tasting room and the barrel room so you can see what's going on during harvest. And can't beat the view at sunset.

I came here for a wedding so I can't comment about the tasting room but about the venue itself. The location can't be beat. The backdrop was beautiful with the vines and the trees and the hills. Very nice. This was a little off the beaten track but nice. Had nice picnic area. It was very windy that day so couldn't sit out there for long. Everyone was very nice. A good friend that we know loves good wine recommended us to visit LaFond. Not easy to find, and way out on Santa Rosa Road in Lompoc. Wow - was it worth the visit! This winery was recommended by our tour guide and it was a very pleasant surprise! This is a hidden gem that has amazing chardonnay and a neat outdoor seating area. If you are in the area, you must add this to your list!

Great drive in the hill to a great destination with good wine and gourmet items. The wine stewards were very helpful and informative.
