Having spent 6 months in Santa Barbara, there isn't anything I don't like about this city. We spent part of the day kayaking at East Beach then went hiking Rattlesnake trail in the afternoon. Dinner at Holdrens on State Street was an amazing stop.

The Santa Barbara beach was beautiful. The water was also nice. It wasn't too cold nor too warm. The temperature was perfect. I felt so relaxed and the sun felt especially good on my skin.

We decided to ride bikes along the waterfront which is quite beautiful. We rented our bikes right across the street and started out. It was not long before my bike had a flat and so the others went on and I stayed to wait on a replacement. It was not a good idea as I was approached by 2 different... More

this is a lovely area but since having visited two years ago, there is a growing number of homeless people sleeping on the benches and near or on the beach. There is a lot of wonderful things about Santa Barbara but you can see there are rising issues. We witnessed one police arrest with all the cars and sirens etc.... More

How fun to drive out on the pier, park the car, watch all the boats, wind surfers and choose on of the restaurants for a delicious breakfast. Early in the day it isn't so busy and no waiting and easy parking.

I love it! Waves, birds, boats, it's beautiful. The restaurants and shops around mean that you can stay a while. I recommend a visit!

My wife & I stayed at the Lavender Inn which was one block from the Waterfront. The lay-out of the harbour & waterfront is perfect. The pier has stores & restaurants, I'm not sure whether allowing cars onto the pier is a grat idea though. It's somewhere nice to spend the day & chill out.

Going to the pier is something everyone should do. It's such an experience driving onto the pier to eat or shop, possibly even fish or just walk around to check out the scenery. There is so much to do on our pier. I no longer live 5 minutes away, and am now about 35 minutes away and going there with... More
