Amazing views of our Pacific Coast and Santa Barbara Beaches. Get your butts off the highway, cruse into town, have a nice lunch and enjoy the scenery!

On the way to Dutch town Solvang, we drove past Santa Barbara coast line & it was a beautiful scenic drive. As it was a cold wintry season, there was hardly anyone swimming in the sea. Santa Barbara itself had some nice shopping complexes & there were skating rinks for youngsters to show off their skills.

While in Santa Barbara, we stayed at the Fess Parker Resort. The resort itself was very nice, we had a "casita" which was a large studio with a back patio with an ocean view. The price of the resort was expensive however, over $300 per night, plus a parking fee. While in Santa Barbara we took 2 drives. One to... More

Its a must see tour to do, by car or bike, specially by the end of the afternoon. I started the ride by the Mission.

We enjoyed our drive through the route. We saw some great sights, stopped at a few nice shops and a really cool convenience store with a bit of everything. Well marked, and the directions from the visitor center were good.

We love this kind of thing. Take your time, enjoy the great views. Stop to take pictures. This is a unique way to see the ocean and town below.
