This place is always packed on the weekends, and for good reason! The wines are good quality for a really reasonable price point ($17 - $28/ bottle) and the staff is always friendly. For $10, you try 6 wines off a list of both reds and whites. You can either taste in their huge bar area, in the barrel room,... More

This wine tasting was much more informative than the typical ones. It was obvious he had a deep understanding of the wines which helped us learn about the various wines and the terrains of the Santa Ynes area. It will be a regular stop for me in Santa Barbara.

We returned to Santa Barbara Winery just recently and our experience was average. The employees were cordial but not overly friendly. Various people helped us but there was little personal interaction or explanation of the wines. Our first visit was much more interactive so we were a little disappointed this time. The employees can make a big difference with one's... More

So my husband and stopped by several wineries while in town. The staff was welcoming and very friendly. John helped us during our visit and was a real pleasure talking with. He was knowledgeable about the wines and gave us tons of recommendations for things in town. The reserve Chardonnay was great. We also like the Syrah with the pepper... More

If you're vacationing in the Santa Barbara area and you're looking for a unique gift to bring home to friends, stop in at the Winery's tasting room on Yanonali Street - just a few blocks from the beach. You can spend a long, leisurely time tasting and talking about the various wines, shop in the small boutique of wine and... More

We went to a few places and this one had a great tasting experience, good wines and reasonable prices. The Orange Muscat was my favourite. Also try the chocolate Zinfandel sauce. Yum!

This was the second time I've tasted here and it was just as good as I remembered. The staff are friendly and we were able to sit in the barrel room which was nice and cool. The wines are definitely worth a taste.

We started or Santa Barbara wine tasting journey at the Santa Barbara Winery. We found it comfortable and everyone was very friendly. The downside for us and we realized this as we went from tasting room to tasting room is that if you are a Cabernet drinker, and your not particularly a fan of Pinot Noir then you probably will... We enjoyed learning about and sampling 6 wines - 3 white, 3 red - and a plate of cheeses, dried, fruits, nuts and crostini, sitting outside in their shady patio area. The 2012 Chardonnay was one of the best I have tasted and the Orange Muscat was particularly delicious. It was a busy Saturday afternoon but the serving staff still... More

We enjoyed time sitting outside the winery, tasting 6 wines for $10 each, but the people serving didn't seem very interested and we weren't impressed enough with any of the wines to buy anything. Still - not a bad way to pass an hour!
