Start at Butterfly beach in Montecito and go all the way past the SB harbor, continue up shoreline drive, a gentle hill to Meigs Rd. There are several places to eat at the intersection of Meigs and Cliff drive. I like Mexican Fresh, across from Lazy Acres. It may seem a long ride for some but the return is either... More

This trail and the trails it links up to provides an easy scenic ride along the cost. California is doing great things to encourage cycling. Not heavily used in the winter.

A bit of a chilly morning for us, but our motel had bikes we could use. We rode up and down it. However, though the ride was great, seeing homeless people everyone can turn others off.

This was a wonderful path for a bike ride. The views were gorgeous with so much to enjoy. We rented bikes near Stearn's Wharf and rode down through East Beach and past the bird refuge. The path is mostly pretty flat so you don't have to be a pro biker to have a good time. It's a nice leisurely ride,... More

Path was great but hard to follow at times where it left the beach We relied on signage and should have had a map with us Made our way up to Mountain Drive and returned through town from the south

This almost 3-mile stretch of bike, walk, and rollerblade seaside path, is a perfect place to stop for a picnic, rent a surrey or Segway, or just stroll by the SB Zoo and see the giraffes for free front he Cabrillo path! Courteous pedestrians and bicyclers abound, especially during the summer months. Along the palm-lined East Beach strand, this path... More

This flat bike path runs along he beach for a few miles. You can connect to other bike paths along the way. On weekends and holidays, it can get crowded. The views are amazing especially on a clear sunny day. There are places along the bike path to grab a bite to eat, relax, or just enjoy the view.

Not too long, not too short. Beautiful especially down by the zoo. Safe and friendly other bikers. Dedicated to bikers so you are not constantly manuevering around walkers and not worried about cars since you are not sharing the regular road with them. Nice views obviously with the beach alongside.

Rent a bike from Wheel Fun Rentals right near the wharf. The path goes two miles in one direction and one in the other. Either way is just as much fun as the other. If you head south, be sure to look carefully through the trees just before the bird refuge, you can see the zoo animals though the trees.... More

Came here via a cruise ship and after researching things to do prior. Heard this town is very bike-friendly in research, but actually found the hype to be true upon arrival. Very lovely view of the ocean. Lots of other paths and lanes to use in the downtown as well. People are polite that use the lane. Drivers you happen... More
