We are regular bikers, so all we needed was about an hour to tour up an down this path. Give yourself more time if you want to stop along the way or find a place to relax. It is a pretty easy ride with a few small climbs as the path winds around. It is a very peaceful view of... More

All of Santa Barbara is set up for bikes. There are a dozen shops, including REI, the streets are painted with bike lanes and drivers are polite and bike savvy. The dedicated trails are smooth and numerous for those that don't like to mix with traffic. This trail follows the beach for miles. It begins at Shoreline Park and winds... More

It is easy to rent bikes along the path and the view is great on the beach. Watch out for the surrey drivers in the middle of the path and the slow walkers.

This path goes all along the beach and everywhere you'd want to see in Santa Barbara. The marina is really interesting to stop and watch all the activity for a while; and the beach is in great shape and really great for an afternoon of relaxing. If you like biking, you shouldn't miss it.

I love the idea of the cycle path and enjoyed a safe ride along the front comparing old and new sights.

We rented some bikes and did the Cabrillo Bike Path. It's not very long but is great for those who don't expect to do a 20 mile bike ride. You can ride along the beach and then on to the bird sanctuary. I recommend it on a weekday, however, because it is packed on Saturday and Sunday near the wharf.

The Cabrillo pathway runs along the side of the beach and ocean to and past most of the main ocean-front attractions in the city. It's well-used by bikes and skaters and can get a bit congested at weekends and on holidays; but generally it works well. Getting onto it can be a bit of a mission with a big bike... More

This is one of my favorite places in town. Walk, ride or run it's a great place to be if you are visiting Santa Barbara.

We borrowed cruiser bikes from our hotel and had a great ride along the waterfront and out onto the wharf. It was a blast.

We really enjoyed the ocean view and scenery of the Cabrillo bike path. It's very "doable" for the whole family, and easy even for us, though we hadn't been on bikes in many years. We rode from the Four seasons, past State Street, and up the hill to the end, and we weren't tired at all.
