This winery is for the more serious wine person than those looking for a wine scene. Their warehouse and tasting facilities are modest and understated. They are removed from the main "Funk Zone" wineries, so if you are looking to wine-crawl, this one probably is not a good fit. The personnel were very knowledgeable and friendly. We liked their wines,... More

My husband and I had a bottle of Jaffurs at dinner when the sommelier recommended it. We decided to go to the wine cellar for a tasting the next day. So glad we did!! What a great place! We loved all of the wines in the tasting and ended up becoming members! I totally recommend stopping here on the urban... More

A garage full of great wines sums up my impression of Jaffurs Wine Cellars. Amazing staff and the General Manager was so informative about the wines and the local area. All the wines are amazing but I was so impressed by the White Rhone varietals. The Grenache Blanc (great alternative to Chardonnay) is amazing and so few are produced in... More

Located in a semi-industrial part of town not far from the 101 freeway. Focus is single vineyard Syrah with some Mourvèdre, Grenache, and even Pinot noir. Fun group of people own and work at Jaffurs. Tasting room is understandably spartan, yet the service has always been friendly and efficient. The place does, however get crowded on some weekend days. Highly... More

It's a little off the beaten path but this place is worth the hike. I've never had anything here that I didn't think was fanstastic. Hands down the best Viognier I've ever had. The Syrahs are complex and inviting. Don't miss this place.

Jaffers is know for their syrah. Robert Parker rates a bunch of them in the 90s. The winery is in a simple warehouse right in the heart of Santa Barbara town. Nothing special to see but the wines are a must taste.

We dropped by Jaffurs Winery last Monday to pick-up the quarterly wine club allocation and are reminded, again, how welcoming this place is! The staff was in the midst of preparing fresh grapes for fermentation...a 3 ring circus... and, we were greeted with a smile, a welcome and "Would you like to taste some wine? Dave Yates, friendly and informative... More

This is worth your time to visit. Try to go during the crush as I did. The staff is very friendly and Jaffurs is good about supporting the local community.

Craig Jaffurs makes really good wines. If you like Rhone varietals (syrah, etc) this is a wine and winery you should know.
