We stopped in while in town off our cruise ship - we 'grew up' with Mr. Reagan, first as an actor, then as our governor, then as our president. The Reagan Ranch museum / center is a fitting tribute to a man of the people. No admission, plenty of historical moments, and the guides are happy to share stories of... More

We were driving up from Los Angeles and called to ask their hours. They asked when we would be there and we told them. We were so completely shocked to have them open the museum for us and give us a private tour. It is a pour delight for Reagan fans. One of our all time favorite presidential museums. LOVED... More

Overall it is an excellent exhibit, and seeing a piece of the Berlin Wall is worth the trip. The content is a little light, however, it is limited by the fact that its focus is on the ranch, not on the entire presidency and intricacies of Reagan's policy and legacy, which is what the Presidential Library is for. Neither the... More

they keep a close eye on you and it's a bit too political for my taste. They start with a film and give you some time to finally tour one floor, but it was not a comfortable environment

Excellent exhibit of Reagans ranch, good videos and short movie. There is a large section of the Berlin Wall. And the center is free. Guided tour takes 20 minutes then left on your own to wander. Can take town shuttle for 50 cents from shops on State St. To the Reagan center near Amtrak station.

It was a good decision to visit this center . Conveniently located on State Street just off #101 and a couple of blocks from the beach, plus it was FREE! I even looked for a donation jar and couldn't spot one. Time well spent. The 5,000 pound chunk of the Berlin Wall was extremely impressive. You could spend half a... More

If you like President Reagan, you will love this museum. They offer a tour of his ranch also. Staff is so helpful and eager to talk about all aspects of Reagan and his legacy.

We were so pleasantly surprised when visiting the Reagan Ranch Center. First of all, it is a free activity! Second of all, it was so informative. There are some great video clips and tons of pictures concerning Reagan and his life both as President and on his ranch. His ranch was called "Rancho del Cielo" (Ranch of the heavens) and... More

At the bottom of State Street is this museum? Monument? Room? to honor the Reagan Ranch. It's like a lite version of his library but with some political overtones, after all it is sponsored by a prep of young Republicans. When you enter you are greeted by a group of fervent Reaganites who are happy to docent in his memory.... More

This is a "center" on State Street that is operated by the Young America's Foundation which owns/operates the ranch where Ron and Nancy Reagan spent a good bit of their adult life. Much about the ranch itself, the house, the land, etc. Impressive collection of memorabilia about the ranch and the presidency. We spent an hour but could have easily... More
