This tour is pricey, but well worth the money! We kayaked through the sea caves with Phil. He was awesome! He was very knowledgable and has a true love for the wildlife on the islands and in the surrounding ocean. The caves are beautiful and the channel islands are such a unique and special place. We were grateful that CIO's... More

We rented kayaks on one day from the Harbor Way location which is great to kayak around the Santa Barbara harbor & Sterns Wharf area. The next trip we rented SUP and I had a great time through the harbor and out around the point. Very convenient locations and the staff is great.

Having grown up in Santa Barbara I have been out to the islands many times in my life, but I've never experienced an islands trip like this one. Every step of the way was carefully crafted with attention to detail, from the delicious food provided, to the Epic tour which was privately guided and tailored specifically to our small group... We took our 14 year old grandson on the Caves & Coves Tour. He is at the age where he is not as easily impressed as he was a couple of years ago. This day was a big hit and will be a great memory of an experience we shared. Despite the encouragement to bring warm clothing for the morning... More

Two 70 year Olds had some apprehension about the cave an kelp combo. We're both active an regular tennis pplayers with kayaking and snorkeling experience. However not in cold ocean water. Our guide who was the age of our grandson took care of all our concerns. We did have a calm sea which helps. My wife's wetsuit did not fit... More

When my mom came out to visit from Chicago I wanted to show her something unique to the area. After speaking with all 3 of the tour companies who guide kayaking trips to the islands, I chose Island Outfitters because of their kindness and exciment on the phone. Our guides (Phil and Dave) were professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly personable! I... More

We had a great day kayaking and exploring caves. The guides were fun, knowledgeable, and helpful. This is worth your time and money. Read about the Channel Islands too because there is very interesting history to add to the experience.

This was a awesome experience from the beginning to the end. The boat ride to the island was great, and we were able to see dolphins and whales feeding. The kayaking and snorkeling were led by fun and knowledgeable guides. They made the day fun and also made everyone feel safe and comfortable in everything we were doing.

Our day began with our arrival to the dock and boarding the boat. The boat was comfortable and clean, the staff attentive and informative. On our way over they took time for whale and dolphin watching. We arrived on the island, given instructions, outfitted with our gear and off we want. The guides were great teachers and our safety was... More
