JD is a awesome guide. He pushed us hard and allowed us to see some amazing coastline and wildlife. He seemed to enjoy hard cheeses and dark chocolate, make sure to bring extra. He has an extensive knowledge of the local history, botany, geology, and sealife. Highly recommend taking a trip with CIO. The operation ran very smoothly and safely... More

The customer service is fantastic! Courtney was wonderful with whom to work. We booked the kayak tour for Caves and Coves Extended tour, and thoroughly enjoyed it. The guide, JD, was excellent. We would recommend this to anyone. Also, we did the Kelp Forest Exploration snorkeling and were able, in the end, to visit the Sea Caves of Scorpion Rock.... More

I surprised my boyfriend by taking him snorkeling and he LOVED it. It was the best gift ever!!! The water was blue and clear, and we saw various types of water animals. Mariné, our guide, was very informative and friendly. She made the experience even extra memorable. Thank you so much guys for doing this!!! I will definitely be back... More

I have been to 80 countries and done countless amazing adventures but this one right out the back door is in the "Best in Class" list. Dave our guide was awesome with tons of fun facts and a focus on keeping us safe. If you live here or just visiting this is a must do.

Our guide, Bourin, was an excellent guide. We had a small group, total of 8 kayakers we all went tandem. He was exceptionally attentive in our needs and interests, and very careful to make sure we were all safe. We were able to tour several caves, and he made the most of this excursion for us to see the coastal... More

I booked the "Caves and Coves Classic" kayaking tour for our group of five people. We were all beginners at kayaking. Channel Island Outfitters made the process of getting gear and kayaks smooth and easy. They had about 20 guests in the morning, which they divided among three different kayaking guides, so our group of five plus two other people... More

Our experience with Channel Island Outfitters was terrific from the first look at their website to our drive home. I appreciated the way that Matt seemed to have all the time we needed to get signed up and resolve open questions. On the way over to Santa Cruz Island the ferry Captain spotted a group of humpback whales. He altered... More

Exciting trip for some novice Kayakers. The sun was warm, the wind was up, and the swells were BIG. Matt was a great guide - experienced, informative and friendly - so we felt safe as well as challenged. If you enjoy outdoor adventure in an unparalleled scenic environment this is it. CIO handled the whole trip without a hitch and... More

Great day trip kayaking in caves! Mike was an enthusiastic guide who provided the right mix of challenge to those who needed it and support to those who needed it. We had a great day. Fun time was had by all - the 20 somethings and the over 50 somethings. Hiking and snorkeling topped off the day. Saw cool wild... More
