I am so impressed with the personnel that work here. They are professional, yet personable. They made sure I was aware of safety procedures, and what type and level of adventure I was looking for. I definitely recommend Channel Island Outfitters to my local and visiting family and friends.

My family was vacationing in Santa Barbara for a week. We heard about kayak tours around the Channel Islands. We chose CIO based on Trip Advisor. We called and were assisted by Clay. He was friendly, informative and worked hard to arrange everything that my family of 6 needed. He gave us a group discount and helped prepare us for... More

Great organization in SB for rentals of SUP, kayaks, and surfboards. They have spots in the harbor, Ledbetter and Goleta beach. I go quite often and the equipment is always perfect and the staff is always warm, cheerful, friendly and helpful. Recently participated in a "down winder" adventure where they drop you and your equipment off at Hendry's Beach and... More

When you take a trip to the Channel Islands, with Island Outfitters, I hope you get our guide Christina. I never thought my Husband and I would be able to navigate in and out of the caves. I had full trust in her instruction and was able to experience every cave. We then hiked to a point above the bay... More

Channel Island Outfitters are well staffed and provide excellent equipment. The kayak tour guides are top notch - very experienced and intuitive to the needs and skill levels of their group. We had a very memorable guided tour of sea caves on Santa Cruz, and our guide was also quite knowledgeable of the flora and fauna, the geology, and the... More

Booked a kayak outing on Santa Cruz Island with these guys as part of a recent one week family vacation / getaway in the Oxnard, CA area. Was at first confused because of the lack of apparent connection between the boat/transportation concession (Island Packers) and the kayak providers. However, once I connected with CIO on a phone call was "pleasantly... More

I'm an adventure girl, but new-ish to Paddle sports ~ so I love the service that CIO provides. I rented SUP's a few times from them and was so impressed with the quality of the boards and equipment, and the convenience of not having to buy a board and lug it to the beach to learn to paddle, that I...
