This is a super venue for seeing (and dancing to) live music while tasting some great local wines. Extensive wine menu and friendly, knowledgeable staff. The winery has very high ceilings with wine casks stacked floor to top - it has a delightful oak barrel essence in the air. The night I was there, @DavidCourteney and The Castawaves performed -... My sister and I stumbled upon this winery -- mostly because our hotel was near it and it was open at 11am. We made it our first stop, but I wish it had been our last so we would have stayed all night! Wine barrels fill the tasting room making for a great environment, and there are games to play... More

We popped in for a wine tasting, at all the local wineries. This one has a very cool indoor area, and an upstairs bar area, most likely for private events. They have delicious wines, however the price tag was steep. $40-60 dollar bottles, and wine tasting fee, that does not come with a glass like most wineries that charge a... More

Excellent red wines- pinots in particular (try "The Yard" if it's available!) also syrahs made by a couple who built the winery from the ground (literally) on up. A large comfortable space and location that's a nice break from typical tasting rooms. In an old Quonset building in downtown SB, away from the madding crowds and other tasting rooms. Populated... Great wine tasting in a cozy winery. Wines were good all around, the Turner Vineyard Pinot Noir was the standout. Hostess was very friendly. Very kid-friendly. The hostess brought Sodas for our kids which were well-entertained by table games of checkers, backgammon and curling.

So good to visit Carr. Friendly place to get a glass of wine and taste some of Santa Barbara's best pinots. Veronica was so pleasant and gracious. A must.

We popped In on our way to the neighboring Telegraph Brewery, escaping the madness of a busy August Saturday afternoon on Stearn's Wharf and in the Funk Zone wineries full of hen parties. At Carr we enjoyed a fabulous and peaceful wine tasting delivered by friendly and knowledgable staff. The "icing on the cake" was some cupcakes available that afternoon... More

We just love this place. We are members and always stop by when in Santa Barbara. Their Pinot is second to none. Love sitting at the bar and talking with the people. We have even made friends with the staff and patrons.

Loved this winery! It is shaped like a wine barrel which I thought was very cute. But more importantly, the staff was friendly and chatty and the wine tastings were very good. We had a great time and stayed for longer than we should have drinking too much wine :)
