You can't control the weather and it turned out to be a very rainy and cool day, but don't miss the whale watching excursion if you are in Santa Barbara or the area! The views are spectacular and these folks know where the whales are! Our captain did find whales even in mid-December. We also saw a pod of common... More

The weather was just about perfect: calm seas, bright sunshine and excellent visibility. The crew set out to an area where spouts had been sighted that morning and sure enough we got to see two humpbacks at really close quarters. The larger of the two was estimated at around 50 feet and the smaller one around half that length. Neither... More

This was a fabulous trip. We saw 2 kinds of dolphins, seals, all kinds of birds and even a half dozen grey whales. Very enjoyable trip and well worth the price.

A great family trip to do when staying in Santa Barbara, we saw several 20-30 foot humpback whales. One of the whales breached repeatedly around the boat; majestically rising out of the water, it was a joy to behold, particularly when it unexpectedly switched sides to where I was standing and caught all the photographers out! We also saw plenty... More

I booked this trip to take my 8 year old daughter with my parents. The trip was about 2 hours or so of cruising around at high speeds in the cold weather. Many people got sea sick and were throwing up. They offered no blankets in the cold but sold us a sweat shirt for about $40.00 We saw no... More

We went out Nov 14, 2015. Hopeful, but not expecting much since this was not during peak sighting time frames. Couldn't have been more surprised. Saw a total of nine humpbacks, two minkes and more dolphins than you could count. What made it so special was when I was standing on the lowest level and one humpback ever so slowly,... More

I thought about giving 5 instead of four points ("excellent" instead of just "very good") but since I haven't done any other whale watching tours to compare, I held back.... but I had a very positive experience. It isn't the absolute top season and as we set out, so I was aware we might not see much...it took a while... More

This was a highlight of our trip to California. We saw about 5 or 6 humpbacks, at one point there were 3 surrounding the boat. Also hundreds of dolphins and sea lions. The crew were very knowledgeable and friendly.

In June 2015 we reserved a place on-line to go whale watching in Santa Barbara in October 2015. We booked for Tuesday 6th October for 10am and arrived half an hour early as specified in the email confirmation that I received back. We saw the boat and entered the booking office. The girl inside looked at us with a puzzled... More

My boyfriend and I took the tour today, we are over holidaying from Australia. We had a fantastic day, we were so lucky to see 9 humpback whales..!!! One juvenile male came so close to the boat and was breaching out of the water, tail slapping & totally playing up to the boat. It was amazing! We also saw about... More
