The best part about this beach was just how long it is. When I go to the beach, I prefer to walk on it more than going in the water or sun bathing. So while this beach was perfect for me, it might not be as nice for people who like lying on beaches. As mentioned in other reviews, there... More

Arroyo Burro, also known as Hendrys, has both good and not as good, depending on your needs. Probably the most devisive item is dogs. Dog lovers and their pets will love the off leash beach. Not all dog owners manage their frolicking charges, nor clean up after them. On the other hand, it is a long and open walk either... More

I love this beach. I always came here as a child when visiting SB, and now I'm 38. Of course, I have fond memories, but it's still just the same and just as beautiful. This beach is great for walking. You can walk for a long time, and it's very natural. There are not any buildings, as there are cliffs... More

We frequently hit this beach for a bit of respite while on a road trip. The Boathouse restaurant is a great spot for lunch or brunch.

There is not much sand between the high tide line and the bluffs. I guess it's a locals favorite, but there are much nicer beaches in Santa Barbara and Carpinteria. It does have an off-leash area for dogs.

This park features a long and attractive beach at the base of fairly large cliffs. It is clean and qwell-tended while still feeling very natural. The east end of the beach allows dogs, which made for great fun for the dogs and their owners. The parking lot gets crowded so getting there early would be advised but it is certainly... More

I love this beach. As you face the water the area to the left of the slough is leash free. It is a great place to bring the dogs for a walk. I recommend checking the tide tables and going during low tide.

We have a dog, and this beach seemed crowded with dogs even by my standards. If you don't like dogs, avoid this beach. Parking was limited, but free - we had to seek parking in the neighborhood nearby (and this was on a weekend in April). Beach itself is large and flat - a good walking beach. Not sure about... More

This is a lovely, clean, family friendly beach, with lots of parking and beautiful views. Not too crowded, great rock picking.

great beach for a walk and cocktails. the restaurant is pricey so happy hour is the best bet. I wouldn't swim there, the water quality is iffy. There is a dog beach on one side.
