great locals beach

great beach for a walk and cocktails. the restaurant is pricey so happy hour is the best bet. I wouldn't swim there, the water quality is iffy. There is a dog beach on one side.

Stunningly beautiful beach with fabulous sunset view. Nice place to get snacks or drinks and rest rooms. Mainly just gorgeous, but somewhat populated. Word is out!

Beautiful beach with parking. Dog beach on one side. Good for jogging if tide is out. You access the beach also from Mesa Lane by a long staircase. There is a nice restaurant on the beach

We're not dog people but I can see the draw if you are. Dogs run free...oh to be a dog here! But alas, despite the dogs, it was a beautiful place to see before we left Santa Barbara. We found a little sandy spot along the cliffs and hung out enjoying the views and sounds. Lots of rocks, really unique... More

Yes, this is a walking beach on one end due to dog poo, and a views beach on the other due to no dog poo. Really, its a pretty beach, dont miss it and you get to see all the happy dogs. Behind the restaurant is a cool as rock staircase built from rocks off the beach, and its amazing... More

Very nice walking or running beach that goes for miles. Lovely cliff side views with interesting rock formations. The best part is that it is free, unlike most parks in CA and south of the slough dogs are allowed to run off lead which is also rare in this state.

Parking is tough and if you go there on a sunny Saturday it can be crowded (but where isn't). If the accommodations were a bit better I would give a higher rating.

We had been told by some Santa Barbara residents to put this on our list of visits. It is on the scenic tour so we stopped. There is a large and bustling restaurant there and some wonderful scenic views. The beach has some tidal pools and large cliffs at the back.

What a delight to find a beach where dogs are leash-free! A must if you have a dog, and the humans get to enjoy a wonderful beach as well!

I can see where this would be a perfect place to spend a day walking the beach, basking in the sun, having a picnic lunch or one at their outdoor café. For us it was just a look/see because the weather was cold.
