Super accessible, good amount of parking, and plenty of beach. Its a great spot to park and take a great walk along the beach beside the cliffs. I could have easily spent ALL day here. There was a restaurant at the opening between the cliffs where you access the beach but I didn't get a look. One thing to note... More

we visited Santa Barbara for one day, but as I read the good reviews, we decided to include this cliff beach in our trip. and I regret. the beach itself was nice and calm. but it's good only if you decide to spend there a long time, like a day or half day. so if you visit Santa Barbara as... More

Enjoyed watching the dogs play on this beach! Part of it is a leash-free zone. Beautiful beach to be at for sunset. Also ate at the Boathouse located right there -- delicious brunch.

Beach access is located between two cliffs and the beach is used by locals. Long beautiful stretches to walk, dogs welcome leashed on one side and unleashed on the other. A wonderful restaurant - the Boathouse is located here with perfect views of the rolling surf, great wine, and a menu ranging from great burgers to upscale dinner entrees. Not... More

Always crowded, very annoying to not find a parking place, but if you do it's a great beach and nice restaurant The Boat House

I have walked dogs many occasions on this beach as I was petsitting in Santa Barbara in 2012. My maximum exercise came from chasing dogs and tennis balls on this popular spot. Wonderful when the tides are right - dogs love it and a good hour gives them and you a great sleep at night.

Wear your flipflops, roll up you pants, bring a blanket and some wine. Come catch the sunset on the Arroyo Beach (aka Hendry's Beach). Then get a table at the Boathouse. Awesome clam chowder. Sweet and tasty clam in white wine. It was great!

A welcome getaway from the tourists that flock to other beaches in the area. Of course I went on a Monday during work hours, so parking was not difficult and there were literally 3 people on the beach when I first arrived. Nice dolphin watching around sunset! Would go again.
