This beach is known as the dog beach to locals. There is an area where dogs can go off leash and romp and play. We went several times with our son and his family dog included. Although it can be very crowded especially on the weekend, it is impressive how much parking they have allowed. Also, there are lots of... More

We went here on a weekday with our seven year old. The beach was full of dog walkers and we had a great time playing with the dogs. Lots of seaweed, but I don't know if that is normal. The CAFE at the beach is good, but very pricey.

My favorite place in town to unwind - but don't stop reading! I live here yet I enjoy this beachside bar and rest. as often as I can. Outdoor bar is literally on the sand with glass divider that stops the wind. Great bar food at reasonable prices (ie Seared Ahi Tuna, Steamed Clams, huge cheeseburger and fries, pulled pork... More

A very dog-friendly beach. It has a fantastic view and it usually has good swells. The water is sometimes a bit full of seaweeds, but the natural beauty makes up for the inconvenience. A spectacular spot.

Quiet beach with TONS of shells and rocks! It was amazing! We filled our pockets and our hat with a ton of beautiful rocks and shells. Whole sea snail shells, clam shells, coral, and more. The rocks were a great variety too and super cool!

Very cool beach, kind of like a dog park, when I was there numerous dogs were running in the ocean playing, and people were surfing. I didnt have dogs with me nor do I surf, but the scenery was really cool.

Fantastic long walks and lovely sea breeze! The park is a nice place to relax after a energetic walk down the coast. Early morning is best for parking!

We went to this beach as recommended by the hotel staff where we were staying. Parking was a bit difficult, but after a few tries we managed to find a spot. The parking is free. The beach was not manicured like the other beaches in Santa Barbara, so it was a little more rustic and had kelp debris on it.... More

We were recommended to visit this beach by a relative, we were there twice, the first time to have a brisk walk on the beach for about an hour which was great, but when we returned to our holiday let we discovered "tar on our shoes"! Which we were informed is part of the scene on all the nearby beaches, this... More

My hubby & I took our little chihuahua to check out this beach for the first time and were pleasantly surprised! We had been searching for a beach park that didn't charge $10 to use. Not only was this one free, it provided an off leash dog area that our chi really enjoyed. There were clean rest rooms, a grassy... More
