This beautiful cozy white sandy beach is only a few miles from central Santa Barbara (just off Las Positas). It is a welcomed alternative to the larger more populated Santa Barbara beaches. We were there mid-afternoon and there were a few children's day camps swarming the wooded walkways. The beach itself had a lot of open space where families and... More

Super Fab Dog-friendly beach that's clearly a favorite with locals. It's clean, there's free parking and even a dog wash! What more could a person want? Maybe a restaurant? They have that too! Hendry's Boathouse, and a little outside food stand.

Great dog-friendly beach with fantastic views and rocky cliffs. Wish we'd had our dog with us to run wild in the ocean.

Everything you could want in a dog (off leash) beach. Parking can be a little tricky, so get there early or prepare to make several circles through the lots to fine a space. We would definitely return. If you don't have a dog, no worries. It's not exclusively for dogs. The dog part is off to the left, and there's... More

It's a cool place to be in but there are dogs with no leash running around all over the beach which can be sometimes annoying. It's scenic no doubt but you don't particularly need to visit this place,it's not a must have,if you're in locality you should drop by!

Pit bulls and other dogs are allowed to run free at Arroyo Burro Beach. (The locals call it Hendry's Beach, gentrification even in a name). The only things is that now, with all the pitbulls in shelters here, people are adopting them but ignorant on how to control them. Other foolish dog owners, not necessarily pit bulls (that's just the... More

We love this dog beach so much that we go every chance we get. Our dogs have so much fun, and we love that they have a dog wash in the parking lot. I think it's the most beautiful beach in the area. Fun for humans, too!

This beach has fantastic views with the Channel Islands as the back drop. It is easily accessible, although the parking can be a problem on weekends and holidays. It is a "leash free" beach (on the east side of the slough) so your pooch will love it. One can walk for miles both east and west. Often one sees dolphins... More

Eat, drink, swim, sun, laugh, play...all here! When you pull in go to the left to park and walk to restaurant, if you are unloading a kayak or folks go in on the right...too crowded to get parking close to restaurant showers and beach on good weather days and weekends
