Regarded as one of the most beautiful courthouses in the state and perhaps the country. Classic old Spanish architecture. Recently renovated.

We lived in the area several years ago and never visited the courthouse; what a mistake. This building and the grounds are wonderful. Parking across the street is available. Spend at least an hour.

We visited the Courthouse during a short stop in Santa Barbara. It was worth the stop. The building and grounds were beautiful, definitely lovely to wander around a bit. You could even picnic on the lawn if you'd like.

Almost stumbled across the Courthouse by accident, and what a find! What a fabulous building and gorgeous gardens. This was definitely a highlight of our time in SB.

The courthouse grounds are meticulously maintained and the Santa Barbara climate is perfect for luscious plant growth. We attended a small wedding in the back gardens in May. This area is primarily lawn leading from the rear entrance of the courthouse (which is locked). As a guest I cannot comment on the cost but it was pretty. Rain threatened but... More

What a gorgeous place. Unfortunately, the mural room and tower were being renovated, so we couldn't see them. However, it's worth the visit!

We walked around at our leisure and enjoyed the building and the grounds. It is a treat to those who appreciate mission style.

The viewing tower was closed for renovations this May but it directs you to other places you can get a view. We tried the hotel on the list but it was only open to guests (we got up to the top floor the elevator anyway by following a guest).

Beautiful building, richly decorated in various styles. Join a free tour and hear about how the courthouse was rebuilt over the years and how the decor has evolved. If the courts are in session you ca quietly slip in at the back of the court and listen to what's going on, very interesting! The tower is closed at the moment... More

We were looking forward to touring the court house. When we arrived a wedding was in progress in the garden area. We were not told the main mural room was being renovated. There was only one tour at 2 pm. We were disappointed. With the experience
