By all means, take a tour of this architectural jewel and get a fantastic overview of the layout of Santa Barbara from the clock tower.

Though presently closed for reservations, the tower boasts as the site for one of the best views in town.

We visited the Courthouse on a whim after reading the reviews of other travelers. It was spectacular! Unfortunately the viewing tower was closed the day we visited. I'd recommend grabbing lunch and sitting on the lawn. Beautiful spot for a picnic.

Santa Barbara is an incredible city. The view in the Santa Barbara County Courthouse is amazing. We can see all the city, the ocean, the mountains. Nice place to take wonderful pictures. There's a guide that explain about the history.

Didn't really know WHAT to expect, but was not expecting a building with this beauty and architectural and cultural significance.

Beautiful on a Sunday and Monday to come hang out & take photos / eat / relax on the grass. Give it a look.

One of the best old courthouses in the West, still true to its origins, beauty and simplicity. The archways, tile floors and ceilings are architectural and design masterpieces that have only become more impressive with age.
