I like the city, the atmosphere, the people and the beach, its a beach city, yet quiet enough to enjoy a vacation and rest

The most beautiful courthouse I have seen in the US. The detail is outstanding. The mural room is a must see on the way to the tower. The tower stairs are a bit steep, but if you can make it, you can see the bell and clock mechanism, which is really cool if you happen to be there when it... More

If you are already in Santa Barbara stop in here for a quintessential look at SB history. Murals, ornate wooden beams, etc. are worth a stop in here. Walk up the stairs to the observation deck to see all of SB proper.

I was a bit skeptical when I saw the high rating for this but it really is pretty great. We were lucky to arrive just before 2:00 for the free docent lead tour. Murals, a rickety elevator, couples just married and the best view in town were all free.

Beautiful view of the city and it's free. Walking up the steps is like walking to the Blarney Stone but once there, you can see the most breath taking view. Great spot to visit.

Beautiful courthouse for picture taking but most of all take the elevator or stairs to the fourth floor for a view of the city.

This place is so neat, from the top of the viewing tower to the Board of Supervisors chamber to the judges' offices in the building's nether regions. You have to go exploring to see everything! Unfortunately, the stairs to the top of the building are not handicap-accessible, but if you can possibly make it to the top, please try.
