The tower from the courthouse has a beautiful view of the city. The grounds and building were a sight to see. More

Right off State Street - Santa Barbara's "hub" of whereto shop and eat - the beautiful Santa Barbara County Courthouse offered a beautiful courtyard garden, lovely grass to stretch out on, and access to their tower either by stairs or elevator. Views from the top encompass the sea, the city and the mountains beyond - LOVELY. We noticed, but did... More

Take the free docent tour. Very informative. It is hard to believe judges and litigants can do business in such a gorgeous facility with ceramic vases and tiles, leather benches, hanging Moorish lanterns. More

The best place to visit in Santa-Barbara. Even if it was cold and foggy saturday may 12th. Beautiful grass and architecture. We had great expectations about Santa-Barbara but besides shopping and the couthouse, we were a little dissapointed. The weather didn't help. We loved San-Diego better. More

The views are amazing from the view deck. We arrived at 4pm and saw a beautiful wedding in the courtyard. Best wishes to the bride and groom who were married @ 4pm on May 12, 2012. You and your bridal party looked so nice , and I loved the red shoes! Well done! :-) More

Worth a visit to climb to the top (okay this is America, ride a lift to the top) and see the views. Hopefully it won't be foggy. More

a part of the basic must sees of Santa Barbara. The best is checking out weddings occurring in the sunken garden. take the elevator to the top for a beautiful 360 view of the mountains, islands, wharf and terra cotta roofs. More

Most courthouses are just utilitarian to conduct legal business, but this one is also a tourist must-see when in Santa Barbara. Painted murals on the walls, ornate Spanish colonial furnishings, beautiful landscapes, and a tower (elevator access) where you can look over the whole city and see out to the Channel Islands on a clear day!
