Beautiful small zoo with easy free parking. This zoo is great! Small, lots of trees, great walking path, farm animals to feed and pet, jungle gym, snack bar, train, and carousel for the kids. My 8 year old enjoyed the visit, but would have absolutely loved it when he was about 5.

I've taken our little two-year old son to the Los Angeles Zoo a few times and while he seems to enjoy it, spotting the animals in the distance has proven to be difficult for him. I decided to take him to the Santa Ana Zoo and found it to be a pleasant surprise. The zoo is inexpensive and has plenty... More

This is a small, well maintained zoo, the land donated by the Prentice family, insisting that they keep their name connected. It is clean, limited, but well kept animals, a petting zoo for the kids, and on occasion elephant rides. Worth a couple hours.

Took my young grand kids, first time for me too. Large and exotic enough to be interesting and small enough as to not where everyone out. Clean as zoo's go, lots of places to rest, picnic benches, and friendly staff. What is not to like, nothing.

We took my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter here and she enjoyed it. Once inside, we did pay a little extra for the merry go round and the train ride, but she had a great time. The train took us around the farm area & on a little more. It was shady, so on a hot day, we weren't too... More

I love this Zoo...There are tons of animals to see and its very reasonably priced! I would say it better for younger kids. There is a train ride and a whole barn animal section. Parking is free and easy. Fun day out with the little ones!

This place is way smaller than LA zoo or San Diego's, in my opinion I like this one because is fairly small if u have young children and it's nice they have a playground as well. Not as much animals but the ones they have are interesting and cool to see.

This was a small zoo but very interesting with the number monkeys they had. The most memorable was a 30 year old monkey that was almost completely bald.

Do not expect the San Diego zoo experience. This is a small property but it is well laid out with nice landscaping and has lots to stimulate the mind of young children. They do have an elephant, and lots of different types of monkeys, and other small animals. The kids can run around and have a great time while learning... More

When you have a need to visit a zoo but not the stamina to visit the LA or San Diego zoos, the Santa Ana Zoo is a great choice, especially for children!
