Went for the Adams/Curtis/Weston exhibit, but there's quite a bit more to see. Cons: aloof staff, fierce A/C, $6 parking

We drove up from San Diego for the day and visited the Bowers Museum for the first time, primarily for the Adams/Curtis/Weston photography exhibit. The exhibit was quite small, but was enhanced by having a fee docent tour. He pointed out things we would not have thought of and brought more meaning to the photographs. After that, we really enjoyed... More

Tastefully curated. I went to see the Hidden China or Secret China and Polynesian exhibits along with the other exhibits there. It was a great place to spend a weird, rainy day. Enjoyed it immensely.

The Bower's Museum has a whole new look to its interior. It has added a large new wing since my last visit: The Kennedy Wing which has an airy multi-purpose "hall" and houses an East Meets West exhibit room and a Pacific Islands exhibit room. There is also a nice gift shop and an upscale restaurant (Tangata) in the lobby... More

We are members because we love the special exhibits, such as the Dead Sea Scrolls that have traveled from museum to museum this year. Members get free entrance to most of the exhibits including the special traveling shows. Parking is super easy, free across the street, and for a small fee at the museum door. The restaurant is convenient and... More

We met close friends at the Bowers to see the 1968 exhibit. We were able to park on the street for free but there is a parking lot across the street for $6.00. This was Fathers Day Sunday and as a father I received free admission. My wife's ticket cost $12.00 and given all you can see that is a... More

I love that they offer free days to Santa Ana residents. They rotate the exhibits so you need to stop back often. My adult kids and teenager and husband all enjoyed it.

The museum is on the smallish side. Still, would probably take the serious inquirer 4 or so hours. There were several unique and thorough exhibits, including one on Spirits and Headhunters. That was pretty unsettling. But I really learned quite a bit about something I knew little about. Docents were very friendly and helpful. I needed something close to John... More

Celebrated a cousin's anniversary on tour with 28 friends. The museum is beautifully done, the exhibits are incredible, the docent really knew what she was talking about. Ended with a museum shop tour and brunch on the outside patio. Nice way to spend a day.

This is a nice museum in central Orange County. It has limited exhibit space, although this has recently increased. On a visit a while back I was very disappointed that much of the display consisted of photographs of the original art.

Went here with my kids. They loved it. There are many artifacts. Unfortunately, my teenager did not care for it much.No surprise there. Overall, its a great and educational place to visit.
