At $12 for the ticket and $6 for parking this is a slightly expensive museum for its size. Having said that all the exhibits are open for the price of a ticket (unlike a lot of museums in SoCal where you have to pay extra for the travelling exhibits) and there is some street parking around. The first Sunday of... More

Fantastic small museum, first class traveling exhibits. Premium connections with other museums, gets first dibs on items like King Tut, terra cotta warriors, etc. Be sure to anticipate metal detectors, don't take anything in that couldn't go on an airplane. More

The Bowers is a cultural treasure. I became a member last summer. The museum brings in first class exhibits. The only problem is that it is a small museum and it does get crowded. The museum offers many educational opportunities for lectures and workshops. More

For a small museum their prices are high, and the staff was rude. More

Have been a member for years and worth every penny. Alway many great exhibits. This visit: California Gold; Ancient Art in China; California Missions and Ranchos to name a few. You can take a couple of hours or all day and be amazed by the displays and information. There's also a nice restaurant to enjoy a tasty, reasonable meal. And... More

The Bowers has had some excellent exhibits: Terracotta Warriors, Ancient Egyptian Mummies, and also a beautiful Gemstones exhibit. However, don't miss some of the major museums, too, if traveling: The LACMA, the Getty, Norton Simon. Orange County desperately needs a MAJOR art museum - we are not there yet. But, the Bowers is an elegant outing and the restaurant is... More

Took the family to see the Ancient Arts from China exhibit. It was excellent and the staff was very knowledgeable and personable. Well worth the visit. More

We attended the Chinese exhibit at Bowers and had lunch on Saturday, February 25. It was a wonderful day until my friend started home and found her car's gas tank had been emptied during our visit. The parking lot has an attendant but apparently he doesn't watch the cars. Very disappointing. More
