This is my first visit to the Bower's, we bring our 2.5 yrs baby with us.. inside is pretty nice, we like the whole trip, the restroom is clean, it's good to bring the baby.. and they have this Chinese festival for the Terra Cotta Warriors, they give out free stuff for the kid, the book totes, paper umbrellas, DIY... more

We came on the last day of the Egyptian display, on loan from the British Museum. Our docent was wonderful, full of info and humor. I wish we had more time to explore this museum. We were a family with kids, ages 8 &14 and the 8 yo is into mummies--so perfect. While the admission price is high (but so... more

Ok for Orange County, this is one of our best museums, but.....it is WAYYYYY over priced. I took my family of four ( two adults, 1 teenager and 1 child) and ended up paying almost $60!!! Now we go to a lot of museums, and most of them are In LA and none ever cost this much! It is not... more

Bowers has made quite an effort to bring in unusual and topical exhibits, rotating them in a timely manner. I am never disappointed when I visit. The hand outs are informative. They have a lecture series which is really interesting and goes with the items on display. One of my favorite exhibits was the Tibet exhibit. Also their gift shop... more
