There are not too many beaches in the world where you can walk across semi-precious stones instead of sand. Moonstone Beach is one of them. Small stones of Agate, Tiger Eye, Jade, and of course Moonstones. Those are the ones that look translucent, with a milky film. We spent HOURS on the beach combing through the stones for all kinds... Beautiful experience ! Friends had been there last year and found a few large, wonderful moonstones on their walk. While we found a few small specimens, the fresh sea air walk , spectacular storm waves pounding on the beach, and the colorful rocky beach rocks were our pleasurable attraction to this most unique and inviting area. The boardwalk made it... More

In little boardwalk with access to the tide pools. Spent a few lovely hours watching the seals and the life in the pools. Collect some shells and moonstones as a memento.

Great little side trip to a long beautiful beach. Wished we could have stopped but rain and wind said no.

There is a boardwalk that runs the entire length of Moonstone Beach and provides a great walking path for strolling on the coast. The views are beautiful and you can see seals, surfers, and other walkers enjoying themselves.

A wonderful walking boardwalk follows along the cliff just above Moonstone beach. Easy walking and very easy and accessible area. Lots of places to stay and eat just across the street.

We spent a couple of hours on the beach with our kids and parents just enjoying the ocean, the opportunity to fossick for moonstones, and to appreciate the beauty and tranquility here. No fancy distractions, just back to nature.
