There is a boardwalk that runs the entire length of Moonstone Beach and provides a great walking path for strolling on the coast. The views are beautiful and you can see seals, surfers, and other walkers enjoying themselves.

A wonderful walking boardwalk follows along the cliff just above Moonstone beach. Easy walking and very easy and accessible area. Lots of places to stay and eat just across the street.

We spent a couple of hours on the beach with our kids and parents just enjoying the ocean, the opportunity to fossick for moonstones, and to appreciate the beauty and tranquility here. No fancy distractions, just back to nature.

Fantastic mile(s) long trail along the bluff. Bring a jacket as it is almost always a chilly walk! One of the most beautiful walks along the California coast.

Walk the trail above the beach and scan the kelp beds you might spot a sea otter. They tend to float on the surface either playing, napping, eating or cleaning themselves! They are SO CUTE!

The weather was wonderful. We love to look for Moonstones and have several spots that we beach comb. Luffingwell Landing is a great place to search as well as Shamel Park. There is a seal rookery on Moonstone Beach now-Harbor Seals.

My wife and I visit this area a few times each year to stay at a family vacation home. There are deer that frequent the area and the beach is a great place to have a picnic or just walk along the surf and watch the view. The 'beach' is not a traditional beach where you have sand and can... More

Quiet, scenic and wonderful. I did not ever want to leave. The pools formed by the rocks were so scenic, and a few surfers made just sitting to watch even more interesting.

There is a lovely boardwalk that makes it easy to enjoy this beach from above. We saw an amazing sunset and then also had breakfast on the beach. We took a reasonably long walk on this pretty unique (moon-like?) sand. Definitely a beautiful spot.
