beautiful beach

it is a beautiful beach that you must stop by, but the weather is too cold when we arrived at 7PM. Kids love to run on the beach.

The beach was okay, not great. Pea-sized gravel and sand. A local shop keeper told us that there are not and have never been moonstones on the beach, but the name draws a lot of people. The town is quaint and picturesque.

Moonstone beach is located in the newer part of Cambria. There is ample parking and a boardwalk that parallels the water. We didn't find anything particularly noteworthy at this beach. In all fairness this might be because we saw so many other beaches in this area that had much more to enjoy. For example, up the road is the William... More

This beach was incredibly beautiful and a walk along the boardwalk any time of the day provided something new to see -- a sunrise -- seals -- a sunset -- what a beautiful treat. I could have walked for miles and not been tired.

I like to go to Moonstone Beach and watch the waves. During whale migration seasons you can see them either going north or south. There are usually a lot of surfers and I've even seen the dolphins playing in the water here. You can park along the beach and sit on the benches provided. There is a boardwalk to stroll.

along the hole beach, and especially so along certain vista points, the views and atmosphere is just stunning, a joy to the camera infront of your eye, but more and more to the eye behind the camera, and what's beyond Catch the one hour before and little after sunset.

Beautiful beach and board walk above it. Sand (dark) rocks, pebbles and natural ocean and land debris Sun and clouds, wind and surf...what's not to like... It's the beach, the view and the "moonstones" that make it special It's also cool to see locals and tourists together Yes, yes, yes

We walked on the boardwalk. The wildflowers were in bloom. The blossoms coupled with the stunning views of the ocean make this a memorable walk. We went down to an area of tide pools and saw a number of harbor seals resting on the rocks. We recommend taking this walk.

What a blast! It was so much fun to relax on the beach and explore the different stones. It was a great stop and not very crowded.
