There is a very nice beach path that meanders around and hugs the coastline. Beautiful views and several spots to rest on benches. There is stairs down to some tide pools and also down to the beach with small beautiful rocks that are fun to look at. We had our shoes on because it was a bit chilly but another... More

Kudos to the city of Cambria for the care they have given to this beach. The boardwalk makes the beach accessible to everyone. There are even benches to rest on and enjoy the beauty of the sea.

I was told that the name is derived from the fact (story?) that in the days gone by moonstones was deposited on the beach. Given that the moonstone is the travellers stone I also bought a moonstone ring here. This is a lovely beach - so enjoy

Beautiful beach and we watched the sun go down. Lots of colour in the stones and great photo opportunities with the driftwood that had washed ashore.

Sunset here is almost a spiritual experience - take a walk, rest on a bench and commune with nature, a lovely way to end a perfect day

Really enjoyed a walk along the beach here. Rock pools, seals, black vultures among the wildlife. Then kids searched for the aforementioned gems without much luck. Scenery was great. Lovely place. Walked slowly up the beach and back on the boardwalk.

An employee of one of the Moonstone Beach hotels was kind enough to show me what moonstones look like and on which part of the beach they are most likely to be found. In a very short period of time, I managed to locate one moonstone, and a very nice fellow tourist with whom I chatted gave me another ...... More

We went to see the whales everyday as we kept coming back over the summer, Room was great. Very clean. The patio and fireplace added so much to this place. The weather was perfect. The restaurants very good in the area.
