Peaceful tranquility to help you forget all your stresses. Plenty of motels to choose from and beach access and walkways for no fee. Close to Cambria and Hearst Castle

We had a little time to kill before the Hearst Castle tour so we stopped at the boardwalk in Cambria for a look see at the famous Moonstone Beach. Not really knowing what to expect, at first blush it is the same as any other beach in the area until you go down to the water and poke around. Very... More

The colored pebbles are very small but beautiful colors . It's always great to be at the beach. March was too cold to go wading in.

Reviewing only the beach.....it is rocky....i wore hiking shoes. The rocks/moonstones are some of the most beautiful rocks i have ever seen. The tide-pools are a great thing to do. We saw many crabs. The wooden walkway is great, and there are a zillion squirrels that will literally come RIGHT up to you for food.....they are not scared of people... More

we walked from one end of the walkway above the beach to almost the end, so pleasant walking along the bright yellow blooms, weeds, but so pretty, they look like wildflowers, which they are, Theres nice picnic tables at the very end going North. we had a great table overlooking the BLUE PACIFIC

What can you say about a long walk along the Pacific ocean, on a nice new long boardwalk that seems to go on forever? Or you can actually go down to the beach and get sand in your shoes and collect driftwood. Wild beach, lots of driftwood.

There's a nice, long boardwalk parallel to the water. Dogs are allowed to stroll with you on it, but they aren't allowed on the beach. I dldn't see any beach stones, for which this beach is supposedly famous. Othersise, it was beautiful, but quite cold!

Always beautiful and remote no matter what the season. Well worth a visit particularly if you are traveling from elsewhere.

This is a stretch of beach in Cambria that has a wooden walkway so you can walk along the cliff above the ocean or you can go down on the beach and walk on the sand. Has the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets with benches so you can take it all in.
