What can I say about the Central Coast , except that I love it up here, dont forget to take the drive all the way up to Big Sur while visiting the Coast line , people from around the world come to take that drive up Hwy One thur Big Sur , better than going to HAWAII !

A great visitor center with fun, interactive displays. Top it with a walk out on the pier and a picnic for a great day.

Small little discovery center. Some cool touch and look at displays for young and old. A great place to spend 30 to 40 minutes.

This is a small facility on the edge of the Pacific Ocean near Hearst Castle. It is staffed with very friendly and knowledgeable people. It provides an educational opportunity for the youngsters in your group. My 8 year old enjoyed it immensely.

Docents are very knowledgable and helpful with directions and all our questions! Perfect place to learn about the gorgeous history of San Simeon and about the ocean's smallest inhabitants (plankton) all the way up to its largest (whales). We are definitely coming back in July for their annual fair!
