They are located across the road from the Castle. This review is of the winery only and not the food they serve. I did not find anything unusual about their wines. The whites and the reds were all too dry for me. You can do about six tastes of their wines for $10 which is reasonable. Service is very good... More

Driving the PCH-1 and needing to stop for something to eat. Went to San Simeon and came across this winery and cafe straight away, best decision ever to stop here. We had a burger each and my goodness it was the nicest beef I've had in a long time. Mouthwatering, juicy and generous servings. Sadly we couldn't try the wine... More

We came just as it was closing (4:00pm) but we were able to go inside. Didn't taste any wine but did buy a package of beef jerky (since they are known for their beef) and it was fabulous! I would go back and taste their wine and eat in the cafe.

Talk about a fun place! Very friendly staff (ask for Geraldine), and great wines. I'm a red drinker but loved their Chardonnay. Had a green chile cheeseburger from the cafe and was blown away by the quality of the meat and the size of the burger. Was enough to share with another single gal visiting from Central America. Don't miss... More

Stopped in for some wine and lunch on a gorgeous April day. Of course the wine was delicious and our tortilla soup, roast turkey sandwich and burger were very tasty. It was delightful to sit on the patio and enjoy the beautiful views. I definitely recommend this place.

People will come for the wine but return for the food. Absolutely delicious it was. My swordfish sandwich was out of the very top drawer.

This place is part winery, part post office (yes a real one) and part burger joint. I stopped by the winery and enjoyed it so much I got myself a bottle for later. Limited parking, only one bathroom (for both) but worth checking out.

The plan was to do a drive-by and snap a photo, but once we saw a number of cars parked on the side of the road we knew we had to stop and sip. Smart decision. Reds rule the region, and our palates were pleased with the Three Sisters Cuvee and Randolph. The tiny building also houses the San Simeon... More

Went there because wanted to see how it was. Didn't know Hearst had a winery or if they were related to the castle. Ladies were very nice and knowledgeable. It was a bit crowded. It was a cute place, small but cute. They had a post office and a small 'cafe' that was closed. Bought a few bottles. Everyone seemed... More

So...after you visit Hearst Castle, stop here for wine, food and a relaxing break near the ocean. Honestly, we had low expectations of this place but were pleasantly surprised. First, it's in a very cozy, quaint setting. Nestled in an old building that was once used during the long past days of fishing boats, you will find both food and... More
