Do go hungry Don't go if you're hungry RIGHT NOW Do expect to wait in line unless you are there before the door opens Don't just stand there, go buy wine - sip while you wait! Do eat beef (if you're into that) as it's not likely you'll get better beef anywhere else Don't be surprised if you sit longer... More

New owners new menu. Most of the beef sandwiches are no longer on the menu. No more French Dip:(. No extras with your burger or sandwich. The candy & drink coolers are gone to make room for a large picnic table inside. It's not the same and not as good.

Hands down the best sandwiches between San Francisco and San Luis Obispo. Excellent wines from San Simeon ranch accompany their superb beef and five star service at the bar, especially from Geraldine aka Gwendolyn.

Order at the counter, grab a seat either in our out in a market, deli environment and wait for one of the best sandwiches you'll ever have. The pastrami and Beef dip were out of this world. Staff was friendly. It's not open late so get there for lunch. Go after you do the Hearst Castle, Go straight across the... More

The information desk attendant at Hearst Castle recommended this as "the place where all the locals go" near to the property. I can see why. The sandwiches they made were excellent and very generous on portion size. The only real negative is that the lines are fairly long, although no surprise as I guess word gets around!

The queue was rather long but we decided to stay due to a recommendation despite the signs that say 'if you are in a hurry maybe go elsewhere' we waited over an hr in the queue as it moved at a snails pace, not sure why as all you do is order your food and pay, you then have to... More

Such huge and yummy food. I ordered the Big Sur Vegetable sandwich. It was the biggest sandwich I'd ever seen. What a cute place. The wait is long but if you're not in a hurry it's worth it.

The line was long but the staff was helpful and friendly. The food was worth it and the setting was sublime. We ate outside on picnic tables looking across the beautiful fields past a quaint old church and up the hill to the Castle. There were gentle horses nearby that my kids petted while waiting for our food -- which... More

My friends and I went to Hearst Castle few weekends ago and we were more excited about going to Sebastian's for lunch than actually visiting Hearst Castle. THE PORTIONS ARE HUGE. Even the salads are ginormous. Sebastian's made the best onion rings I had in my life. My only complaint (and it's not even that big of a deal): please... More

The other reviews were not exaggerating, the burgers are huge and absolutely delicious! The seating was kind of sketchy (old plastic patio furniture) but the food made the precarious perch well worth it.
