We took our young grandsons (7 and almost 5) for a couple of hours and, at that, felt a bit rushed. The design of this facility is quite ingenious, seamlessly mixing hands on science stuff for kids together with a collection of birds, insects, some small animals (foxes, otters, etc.). Lots of stimulation in a very pleasant setting between the... More

All of the mammals, birds and reptiles are native of California. CuriOdyssey is about education, welcomes children and shares the respect the docents feel for their charges. Every animal is carefully and lovingly tended. Kids can get close, and learn so much! There are classes for students of every age! School groups are welcome. Admission is very reasonable. We've been a few times with our son, both before and after his second birthday. He got something different from it each time, and I think it will continue to grow with him for several years. The science experiments are very hands on and kid friendly, the animals are well presented, and the live shows were extremely friendly. In general... More

Spent a good three hours here with my 17 month old. Nice mix of animal exhibits and science exhibits. Small enough place where she could walk everywhere. Plenty of parking $6. Open layout, nice picnic area for a lunch break. Spent another two hours at the mini playground near the parking lot. Small ramps and mini slides, perfect for her... More

My daughter loves coming here and our favorites are the badger and the otters! It is so fun watching the animals being fed and then going inside and playing with all the sciencey experiments!

Great place to take kids to see some science experiments and visit rescued animals (otters, birds of prey, raccoons, bobcats, snakes). Nearby Magic Mountain playground is great too. Don't have all day to drive into SF? Stop here for a few hours instead.

I had been here many many years ago when it was Coyote point museum on a field trip. Boy, how it changed. Initially we came here to take a few pictures because we were playing with some new camera equipment. The museum is within the park, so to get in it cost $6. There were a lot of parking spaces... Just the right size for a two hour visit for little ones. It combines principles of physics with animal welfare and is in a lovely setting near the bay.

Toddlers won't understand most of the science involved but may like the outdoor portion with the animals. The 6-10 yr age group will love the experiments and will spend hours being entertained by all the interactive areas. Almost all areas may be used by multiple children at one time so everyone will get a turn. The outdoor animal rescue area... More
