We visited a cousin who is in her senior year at Cal Poly SLO and were very impressed with the size and structure of the campus. An added bonus was seeing two new mustangs running among the older horses on the hill (mustang horse is their mascot). My only caution is to watch your speed while driving through the campus... Cal poly SLO is a fantastic campus, very large in size just off Highway one on the outskirts of San Luis Obispo . This huge university is composed of many parts including specialties for engineering, agriculture, and other academic disciplines . The campus is quite large and impressive in scope .

Awesome college. "Learn by doing" motto is something all colleges should adopt. Lovely area. Looking forward to visiting just for fun. Hotels get pricey during school events. Try a few freeway exits before or after to find better rates.

Wife and I went back on a trip after graduating in 1972. The school and town have as expected have really expanded. Recognized some places but the remodeling and expansion have really changed both.

What a Great School. The students that we met were very excited about their school and what it was providing for them.

Cal Poly was one of the Universities we visited with our daughter. It is a beautiful campus located in the mountains of SLO. They have a newly built Rec Center for their students which is magnificent. The students and staff seem really pleased about being there. Visit this University if you get the chance.

Beautiful campus to walk around, and their campus market sells items that Cal Poly students have made (bbq sauce, chocolates and honey).

The campus is beautiful, tucked against the mountains. The Union is a vibrant place to meet your friends, eat your meals or study. Our granddaughter is having a wonderful first year and is looking forward to three more fun and knowledgeable years to follow. We are very proud grandparents of what she has already learned in her selected field and... More
