This setting is famous for its summertime concert series. Sometimes you get to see tourists try to drive through. That's entertainment, when you're seated safely across the creek, enjoying the view.

It's good luck to pet the bear. This is a great spot in the downtown area. I highly suggest you try San Luis BBQ and Moe's BBQ joints while you're in SLO town.

Sat in the shade to read. Nice bench under a tree, next to a hedge. Walked around the hedge - there are bears playing in the fountain, and a little girl. All sculptures. I should have taken a photo.

A very nicely designed plaza and "creek walk," exceptionally well landscaped and tended. A treat to the eyes in parched California.

There is always something going on in the Mission Plaza - from concerts on Friday nights during the "summer" months to Children's Day, Pride, and many other festivals - the Plaza is often the place to be on weekends. It also has a lovely fountain where kids like to hang out, and a nice amphitheater that is fun to sit... More

You can't miss the plaza if you head towards the mission, small and calm. Near the creek which you can walk along and the nearby restaurants and shops.

This is a nice little park next to the mission which is the real draw. The park does have an interesting fountain showing grizzly bears, an Indian and salmon which were all eliminated by the coming of Europeans to the area. Sad reminder.

We stopped here to check out some of the town, it was very cute! some of the buildings were very old and you really get that old town feel when you're walking around. We loved it, a fun stop for anyone.

Love coming here for the last 40 years! The SLO life, all are so friendly, new additions, but done in such a way to preserve the histric look of downtown Higuera St. Mission is gorgeus, stream that flows nearby, is sadly, so dry with the 5 yr. drought. At Christmas-time one could visit Santa in his little North Pole house... More
