This place is right in down town, but it feels like it is totally tucked away from the world. The lovely historical home has a nice garden with some awesome trees and a very nice collection of succulents and other plantings. Most of the interior furnishings in the home are original and it gives a great view into life in... More

Not terribly large and only open on Fridays and Sundays, this is a beautiful garden and small original Adobe house. Friendly and informative docents. They had noon talk in the garden the day I visited about drought-tolerant plants.

Looks like it was a beautiful place to visit. I checked the website in November and did not notice that it was closed in December. Nice walk over to see it through the gate.

We had a private tour of the adobe and gardens led by staff from the historical society. Very interesting history of a middle class family from the mid 1800s to early 1900s who occupied this building in the center of town. Well worth the $10 and very enjoyable.

Who knew? I have lived on the Central Coast for years and never knew this was here! It's fun to discover a treasure in your own backyard. Our family visited one Friday afternoon and enjoyed the tranquil charm of the place. The gardens and landscaping are a refreshing combination of huge old trees and plantings along with newer ones with... More

Wander through the gates of the old adobe and you'll feel as though you've stepped back into early California. The adobe is in great, nearly original condition (looks like they just got a new shingled roof), and the gardens surrounding the adobe are charming, bountiful, and beautifully maintained. Some of the trees in the garden were planted by the Dallidet... More

Tranquil little garden. The train depot is very cute and worth reading the history boards. It's a small property and the house has very limited hours.

Very limited hours that it is open. Very good docent explained the history of the Dallidet family and its relationship to the city of SLO.

What a beautiful hidden gem right in the center of San Luis Obispo! We were in the gardens to attend a late afternoon early evening wedding. It is a fabulous place for a wedding or other function. The grounds are well kept and easily acessible. There were restrooms which were very clean also. It is a quaint quiet retreat if... More
