We had a very nice experience at J Lohr at the end of the day during the Harvest Weekend in Paso Robles. The tasting here is complimentary and there is also a picnic area in the back of the tasting room overlooking the vineyards. The J Lohr winery is located not far from downtown San Jose and most people probably aren't even aware the tasting room is there. It is well worth finding. They have a large number of wines, whites and reds, produced under a couple of different labels. The tasting room staff is always friendly and knowledgeable. The wines are very reasonably... more

J. Lohr Winery tasting room in San Jose is a great place to do some wine tasting. Its very close to downtown San Jose (just off the Alameda) so makes it possible to enjoy a little bit of the "wine country experience" when visiting the area.
