The HP Pavilion is no longer; it is now called SAP Center. They are one and the same place. The wonders of corporate name changes of arena's now a days. I have been to the place when it was called HP Pavilion, but if you are visiting you will want to look for SAP center when visiting San Jose now.... More

I don't care much for the new name of the arena (SAP center? Really?) but what an awesome venue to watch a hockey game! One of the nicest (and surprisingly clean!) sports arenas I've seen, the energy is intense during Sharks games. Even if you're not a hockey fan, or a sports fan at all, you'll come out of a... More

Wow, I must say I was really impressed with this sporting facility. I went here for a Sharks game and I was truly amazed. There didn't seem to be one bad seat in the house. The fanbase was unreal, those sharks fans at times make it look like their going to take the roof right off the building. A lot... More

Fun venue for sporting events (GO SHARKS!) and concerts. Near San Pedro Square so lots of dining options before or after the event.

The 'Tank' is a great place for sports, especially the San Jose Sharks. Very loud and fun watching hockey games!! For concerts, it's OK, but has a but too much echo. But still a decent concert venue, as you can see the stage from any seat.

I was there April 1st with friends watching the Sharks play the Edmonton Oilers. It was a great game. This was not my first visit, I have attended concerts, and other events there as well. The staff is friendly and helpful.

Food was standard as was the selection of drinks.gave it a walk around and expected more since it was the biggest area next to 'silicon valley'. meh. The Staples center, MSG and even Phoenix had better food & drink offerings. They need to kick it up a notch.

Wife and I saw the Sharks play the Edmonton Oilers. This was our 5th time at the Shark tank and we have totally enjoyed it on each visit. We have pretty much sat everywhere and there is not a bad seat in the house. The ushers and staff go out of there way to help you and do it with... More
