Ok, I was expecting an open market where you buy fresh home grown vegetables, freshly made cheese & such. This is an indoor food court. I was disappointed. Plus, I just finished eating at Hawaiian Poke Bowl, located in another food court. Their food was OUTRAGEOUSLY delicious. I would come back here to try food, drinks & desserts here. But... More

First of all San Pedro Square itself was a huge disappointment. It's not a square, or even a pedestrianized area. It's just a street with a multi story parking garage on one side and a row of restaurant/bars on the other. And the 'market'. Which is basically just an indoor food court with maybe 8 outlets only. All seemed to... More

I like San Pedro Square as it has something to eat for everyone! There are multiple restaurants located here serving cuisines from Mexico, Middle East, China etc. My favorite is the Falafel place where their Chicken Shwarma (BBQ chicken rolled in sort of a tortilla or pita bread) is quite delicious. There is a full bar with beers on tap... More

Something for everyone. Kids really enjoyed the collective environment. Loved pizza and entertainment.

This area has many small eateries and good music. If you aren't sure what you want for a meal, wander around and see what sounds or smells good. I'm glad it wasn't too touristy, and I got a chance to sit with locals on a Friday after a long week of work for them, and a long day of museums... More

If you're hungry and want fun, this is the place! The food choices are incredible and there are places to sit indoors and out. Great vibe. The Beer Market was just that--had a great selection of on tap and bottled beers. I tried thePeanut Butter Cup bottled in San Diego and it was fabulous. At bbq (ribs and the pear... More

Come hungry and this place is okay. My impression was wrong. I thought this was going to be a bunch of outdoor vendors on the street like a festival (which would have been awesome!) but it's actually 5 or 6 fast food places indoors with some seating indoors and out. However, along the same street are several restaurants/bars that are... More

This is a plaza in downtown San Jose that features one of the most unique markets. It has a public plaza, with gourmet eateries all around the plaza. We with've been there with friends and grabbed a table in the outdoor plaza, with each of us purchasing food from the various eateries. On a warm summer night, there are usually... More

I grew up in the Bay Area and live in Santa Barbara and I never had much of an impression of San Jose. I was up there for the weekend for something and found myself at the San Pedro Square Market. What a nice surprise. It had a great vibe, tons of food options, and a nice courtyard. What I... More
