Pleasantly surprised by this small, but well presented and well shaded zoo. Apart from the inexplicably non-free parking, the visit was delightful. Not an all day excursion, but certainly nice to spend a couple of hours. The animals are happy, but in small enough enclosures that you get much more interaction with them.

Loved this place as a kid & absolutely enjoy taking my daughter to it. Zoo area could be improved, but overall a great place for kids to explore & play.

I visited with an 18-month old and 6 month old over Labor Day weekend. Plenty of parking and not too crowded inside. The lines to purchase entrance tickets were slow, and a few rides were closed. Otherwise, the visit was great. It was a hot, sunny day but there were plenty of shady places to stop and rest. Best not... More

Please note Happy Hollow is not Disney or great America. In fact, it appears the park makes every effort to stay subdued and quaint. Visited with Tweens and they enjoyed the zoo and watching younger kids have a blast. The park is immaculate, updated and not too pricey. Make sure to visit zoo section in the meeting as this is... My daughter went to all of the kids summer camps over the years, this year it was Animal Vet camp. She loved them all. We also visited the zoo and adjacent Koi ponds all in all a great time.

I have been going to Happy Hollow with my kids of various age for over 10 years and have been a member for many years. Since the renovation (after a one year closure) the city of San jose increased dramatically the price for membership, moving from a "per family" to a "per person (adult or child)" pricing. Of course this... More

This is not the San Diego zoo but it is well maintained and very enjoyable for what it is. We have walked our grandchildren through it several times and they have found something new to see each time.To us, zoos are best seen through the eyes of children.

This is a fun little zoo. It seems especially designed for families with younger children but I'm an older adult and still had a wonderful time. There's a great area for petting and feeding animals. Staff was readily available to answer questions. The animals overall were clearly well kept. And it was pouring rain the day we were there but... More

I thought this park was great form my grandchildren. What I liked is that it is catered to small children. So there are not a lot of adolescents. Makes it nice that the smaller children aren't being pushed and shoved by older kids. Plenty of shady places. 1/2 day is plenty of tine.

First, let me say that we went early on a weekday. We were, therefore, able to go on a lot of the rides, which only hold a few children at a time. By the time we left, it was very crowded. This park is very nice but quite dated. It's good for young children. Unfortunately, several of the attractions were... More
