This is one of the most beautiful rose gardens in all of Northern CA. It is kept in beautiful order by a host of volunteers. In the Spring and Summer it is a riot of color and you can relax on a shady bench, take a walk through the area and smell the wonderful sweet smell of blooming roses. A... More

I am in San Jose for an extended work assignment, and spent my first Saturday exploring downtown and nearby neighborhoods. When I stumbled upon the Rose Garden, it became my immediate "favorite place" and I can imagine passing more than a few weekend afternoons here. First of all - parking is free on-street parking. Just walk in. No admission, no... More

It's Spring and the weather is warm, at least here in San Jose! We have had a warm winter and spring is early - it almost feels like early summer now! Glorious sunshine, so we took a visit to the Rose Garden today - the roses were all blooming and it is so beautiful to see the flowers and literally,... More

Words cannot decribe the beauty of these gardens. If you like flowers you will be overwhelmed, at least this time of year. And free admission to what was voted America's best rose garden.

Most romantic atmosphere. As soon as you walk in, you are greeted with a Rose archway immediately surrounded by bushes and bushes of roses. A quiet serenity that is rare in today's busy streets. Ample parking space (street), no undercover (not rain proof) and the garden itself is all community run and serviced.

Set in the middle of an upscale residential neighborhood, the San Jose Municipal Rose Garden is full of roses of all types and colors surrounding a shallow pool with fountain. There are also several large redwood trees located in the very large areas grass in the garden. Everything is very well maintained. The garden is a great place for children... More

I had an off day during a business trip and decided to take a long walk, when I saw a sign for the rose garden I had to go. It wasn't even in full bloom yet, but the spring day was perfect, the roses gorgeous and the aroma fantastic. If you enjoy roses and a park like setting, this is... More

Cherry blossom trees line the perimeter of this little slice of days gone by. Whether it is a wooden bench, under a redwood tree, or barefoot through the wet blades of grass this park provides a peaceful sanctuary of surrounding beauty. The water fountain cascades into a fenced pond where the fowl can safely bathe and young and old can... More

This is a great spot for picnics, walks, photography exercising and throwing around a ball. I come here very often and it is always peaceful, even when there are a lot of kids present there is always a spot you can find away from the noise. This place is beautiful year round but of course most beautiful when the roses... More
