What an unexpected adventure. I had never heard of this course but decided to give it a try. There were many available tee times & the rate was pretty low (which is a plus but could mean the opposite). Fortunately this course plays fast & the holes are challenging. Great value for a good course. Very hilly & scenic with... More

Hadn't played here since the course originally opened and the place looked. A fabulous club house with best bay view in Silicon Valley. The course is still crazy challenging. If you don't hit straight, be prepared to lose balls or bring a bag of "cheappy" balls. If you want a see how your game is progressing, then this will be... More

This is one of the most challenging golf courses in the Bay Area. I've never played a course with the elevation changes one experiences at The Ranch. Bring lots of balls as this is target golf at it's best. Lots of good Internet deals, just watch for them

It simply has some spectacular holes, with a few that are probably the toughest in northern California (#2, #8, & #12 in particular if playing back... More

I lived right near this course when we lived out in CA and I took all our out of town visitors here for a round. Really beautiful, challenging course built into the mountainside. Very nice place.

This course is not for beginners. Bring lots of balls. It is very hilly with forced carries and precise landing areas. You will use everything you have in your bag to come up with a decent score. That said, the views are outstanding. On a clear day, you can see all the way to San Francisco. Sometimes it is hard... More
