The exhibits are just enough to keep a toddler occupied through all morning and most the afternoon. The water section was a big hit and so was the activity area on the second floor. It's a good place to get a break for yourself as kids will find enough to engage themselves with.

When our daughter was a child, we were members of the CDM & went here often. Now that we have grandchildren it is even better. It is so much fun to watch them enjoying the various displays & hand-on activities. By pointing out the exhibits that they overlook we expose them to new & exciting experiences. The museum volunteers are... More

Go when it is not crowed and your children will have a ball, playing and learning! Wonderful place for little ones.

Visit the museum with kids of all ages. We visited the firetruck, mammoth, corn husk doll and outdoor garden. The waterworks is a perennial favorite. We try to go several times a year to catch up with the changing exhibits.

Walking in to the museum, you are greeted by a full-size fire truck. Children are climbing around wearing pieces of the uniform of a typical fire fighter, taking turns being in the driver's seat. And so it begins - children's imaginations can take them anywhere inside this one building. They can dress up, play with bubbles, conduct a few science... More

We had a great time bringing our 1 year old here. It's a bit pricey in my opinion (kids 1+ $12 and adults $12) but it would have been worth the money had we arrived earlier. Be sure to check to the schedule before you go. Our daughter had a blast! There is a garden, water area, make believe food... More

I brought my 6 and 9 year old to CDM on 3 June for the first time. Initially, my 9 yo felt a little out of place as there were a lot of pre-schoolers on that day. After he laid his hands on the exhibits, he had a blast fiddling around. They both loved the water, dinosaur, circles, gears, building... More

We borrowed a 2-year-old so we had an excuse to go to the Discovery Museum as three adults. I've been going there since it opened but now my children are grown up, I would feel odd going there with adults only. However, my daughter wanted to go there for her 27th birthday and we managed to find an obliging toddler... More

I brought my infant crawling son 7 and 12 year old daughters and I have to say they were all entertained. This is saying a lot but the museum has done an excellent job of making a super clean and safe place for "crawlers" and also science and learning activities for older children. Was a very fun experience and the... More

Most museums have their displays behind glass. Here the child can touch, feel and play with the displays. it is interactive fun and games.
