Great children's museum offering a wide range of activities to appeal to a varying age group and different interests. Bubble tables, water works, musical stairways, full-sized ambulances, fire truck and stage coach, painting, kitchen play, separate room for toddlers, and more. The "fix-it" room was so interesting. The day we were there corn-doll making was offered. So cool! The on-site... More

This is a really fun museum for probably 6 and under. My five-year old still loves it, my eleven-year old has sighed when we go for at least 5 years. We have been members for probably nine years. FAVORITE THINGS: * They bring in traveling exhibits that are very interesting, like Clifford, or Busy Town * The water area is... More

This has something for everyone from toddlers to pre-teens to enjoy. The water play area is one of the most clever I've seen. There is a nice little cafe with healthy options but you can't bring in your own food. There is a nice little area for the under 4 crowd.

went on veterans day, with every other family off from school and work. It was very very chaotic with not enough (in my opinion) presence of staff. In particular the cafe was terribly staffed and the wait for food and quality was really off. We've been other times and it has been more enjoyable. Will remind others, its best for... More

We really enjoyed this whole facility (although the many kids in attendance were running amok and had not learned rudimentary courtesy yet, lol)! It's full of interesting and interactive displays, and everything is presented in a simple, engaging fashion. Plan to spend at least a couple of hours if you can handle the noise level (pretty high), but in a... More

Been here so many times. We have membership here since our first child and they have a seasonal exhibit area that changes from time to time. It is fun for kids from 1 to maybe about 7.

I went with a 2 1/2 and a 31/2 year old and they were busy and enthralled the whole day! Definitely activities for different age groups. The big hits were the bubbles and the water play room. Hint: make the water the last activity and bring a change of clothes for the kids :) If they like trains, there is... More

This museum seems meant for very young children - say between ages 3-through-8 years, ideally. It takes about 90-120 minutes to cover the museum, though one can spend much time relaxing with the kids exploring the various exhibits. Parking nearby. Staff is friendly.

Aimed right at younger kids, perfect for my 3 1/2 yr old granddaughter. Kids run from exhibit to exhibit so excited and fascinated.

1998 we were with 4 ( my daughter, 2 grandchildren age 5 and 2 and me) from Holland to California, The first visit was San Jose, because my daughter was there from 1989- 1992. We visit Children's Discovery Museum and my grandchildren and me liked it very much. Many other things we did and after we go around to San... More
