San Clemente beach represents one of the most beautiful beaches in Southern California. It has beautiful sand and is a great place to surf and swim. It has a wonderful trail walk, fire rings, picnic tables and outstanding views of both Santa Catalina Island and San Clemente Islands. There are restaurants on the beach, on the pier and a short... We were able to find parking by the pier even on a busy Sunday morning. There were also a few restaurants nearby if you wanted to run up from the beach to grab something to eat. On the Sunday we visited, the beach was busy, but not crowded. The train running nearby actually added to the beauty and atmosphere. The... More

As of this, date I have visited San Clemente twice with friends and will be returning in September. I found this beach to be one of the cleanest, most relaxing beaches, i have been to. It has a jogging path nearby, railroad station, parking availability, convenient stores for shopping and small restaurants. Also, a pier that includes a souvenir shop... More

Beautiful beach with the pier as the staging point! It is such a beautiful beach made better by the wonderful town that surrounds it. Quiet and peaceful....such a great and beautiful beach!

Beach is super clean with plenty of parking. $2/hour and $7 for the entire day. Easily accessible and not that crowded. Loved this beach. Definitely going to return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in San Clemente. We found the beach clean, uncrowded, and relaxing. It was a place that I hope to return to some day.

Loved it, just amazing the sound of the beach and the clean waters are just great. the parking is easy, lots of place to park and walked back to the Oceana Boutique Hotel. It was a short walk and then ready for a bed and shower

Beautiful long stretches of sand, clean, and not too many people except near the pier. There is a walking trail almost 3 miles long that parallels the beach and tracks and is great for exercise. The water looked among the safest I have seen in this area for wading.

I loved the train comming through ; hated that you had to pay $2.00 an hour to park there was a rugged, unspoiled feeling about the beach. There was a walking trail that went all the way up through Dana Point.

We walked the beach on MLK, Jr. Day. Families were enjoying the warm weather, beautiful scenery, and chilly water. The water temp didn't stop kids from playing in it. I don't think we saw one cigarette butt in the sand. But there are cigarette butts in the parking lot.
