The sites are nice, especially the ocean-view spots. Area was a little cramped and dusty, but this is a prime area.

Beautiful pier, amazing sunset, but a tricky wave shot way up the beach and stole my camera lens cap! Went home with a lot of beach in my shorts. ;)

Enjoyed our day at beach and would have liked to have shared the experience with our friends but never located the handicap accessibility. It must be there.

Parking near beach, café at the beach. Beach was clean and not crowded. Great spot to spend a few hours or the whole day. Lots of families.

My secret is out.....go to the right. It is less crowded and more quiet. Walk the pier. There are a couple of restaurants and a shack at the end of the pier that sells food and souvenirs. I bought homemade New England clam chowder from a Hawaiian on a California pier. There is great surf for surfers. There can be... More

We walked the path on the beach a couple of times during our visit in San Clemente. It's a beautiful walk. The beach is clean. It's nice that there are washroom facilities along the beach. Loved sitting on the beach in the morning, watching the dolphins swim along. The beach was the highlight of our trip.

If you have young children, this is not a good beach. The Amtrak runs right through the beach. DANGEROUS for kids!

The sound of the waves crashing, great sand, and surfers make this one of the best beaches around. In October, when the crowds had diminished somewhat, it was most pleasant to be there. We had an early lunch and took it all in. Loved it.

We stayed at this beach for a few hours. There is parking here. You have to cross the train tracks to get to the beach. This is a family beach. The waves are good so is is fun to body surf. You can go there any time

We stayed near by and drove to this beach and one down the road a little (to surf) San Clemente was perfect for our family! I was a little nervous trying to imagine the railroad going by, but the little kids loved waiving to the passengers each time a train went by, and it just added to the character of... More
