only negative: parking- it totally sucks and if you can't find a spot or don't pay and get a ticket those suckers are expensive other than that AMAZING spot. great for bikers, runners, walkers, tanners, relaxers, any and everything really. I like to take a walk up into the rocks and there's a little spot that is tucked away but... More

VERY good for a family vacation! There is a lot of little hotels on the beach or VERY close to it! It's also a good honeymoon spot! Don't forget Casa Romentica!👛🎀💋❌⭕❌⭕❌⭕

San Clemente State Beach is a rare jewel in SoCal. It is a true classic. You cant help but feel like you have gone back to a simpler time as you stroll along the great walkway that borders the beach and see the surfers along the pier and the volleyball players making great shots. The pier is one of those... More

Good place to hang out during summer and almost all year around. Good parking space available. People who do not want to walk or cannot walk have the golf cart facility at 2 dollars one way. Worth it when you are coming back because it is up hill and with a lot of stuff to carry it is a pretty... More

Very pretty Beach, the bluffs are beautiful! Your Campsite sits on the bluff overlooking the ocean. Sites are clean and well kept, restrooms and showers were some of the best Ive ever seen on a campground. A++ on that! The walk to the beach pretty much sucks to be honest. Your walking down the side of a bluff so its... More

As much as I love San Clemente, the pier, the hotel where we stay and the restaurants we've tried, I have to say the beach is not my favorite. But that's only because we find little to no shells when we visit. It's fun to walk along and watch the surfers, though.

We have been going to San Clemente State Beach for about 20 years now. It has never been the same, but always a very family friendly camping experience. The people that go camping have the family as a focus, some party, but mostly child centered experiences. There is plenty of space between campsites, usually lots of it. there is room... More

I loved the fact that there was parking near the beach and we didn't have to carry our stuff too far. Just a nice family-friendly beach with nice clean sand and lots of dolphins when we were there!

a great, sandy, picturesque SoCal beach. We visited during the week and we had the beach to ourselves. Parking is ample and inexpensive. the beach is very clean and feels very secluded, one of our favorite places.

Safe, clean walkway entrance. How awesome to take morning job seaside! Dodgint the Sprint (train) was fun. In Feb, at 8am, the trail not too crowded. Folks were friendly.
