Great access, just being at the beach is lovely. There was a little snack kiosk right there to by water, etc.

Loved everything! Staff is friendly and helpful. At breakfast if something ran out, they were Johnny on the spot to refill (NEED that cup of Java)! Always bring my 8 yr old granddaughter and she loves it. Very family friendly.

Nothing overly exciting. We sat on the sand and the kids played in the water. The sand was rockier than most beaches I have been too. The life guard was very attentive and went out at least twice to warn kids riding on boards to come in closer and stay away from the area around the pier. Good parking if... More

OK, I guess I have difficulty understanding why a state that is known for its "green" living still has huge pipes that discharges waste right onto the sand or into the water??? I seriously detracts from my desire to swim in the same water. Maybe it's just me but it seems to be well accepted along most of the Southern... More

We love to camp here. There is a paved, somewhat steep trail to the beach where there are lifeguards. One can also drive to Califia Beach which is right next door and has easier access. There are full hook-up sites in the campground and also lots of dry camping sites.

Great location, lots of amenities right by the pier; vollyball restrooms food etc...and a separate area for surfing and boogie boarding. But, expect a rocky beach not a smooth sandy beach.

We didn't go to get in the water, but go in the evening to watch the sunset. Would recommend for a nice walk.

Camped at San Clemente SB last week. Here is a breakdown: Pros: campsites are a good size, plenty of rangers, pretty quiet at night, beach was nice and had lifeguards. Stores nearby if you need supplies. Cons: Skunks! Lots of them, they come out at night and will come in the campsites. They also forage the overflowing trash cans. Parking... More

Beautiful beach, great for everyone. You just have to watch out traveling with young children, as you have to cross a railway track to get down to the beach.
