Literally the Smithsonian museum of surfing - many times larger than the others combined. Great events that draw the most renowned surfers from around the world. Went to the Endless Summer 50th anniversary event and it was terrific.

It was a cool museum. The guy who works there was really fun to talk to. They had a lot of old surfboards and the cameras and stuff from the surfing movie. I forgot what it was called but its a famous surf movie.

Worth a visit. Tons of old to new boards. Every board has a great write up of the history. Staff is very friendly. Wish I would have hd more time.

This was a short visit but provided a great history of the surfing culture that has grown up in the area. I am a surfer in my mind only !! but love to watch the surfers ride the waves.

Our visit was really quite amazing. There are real surfboards on display from the 1800's showing the development of surfing. All credit to those involved in the creation of this display. A bit hard to find if you are not a local but well worth the effort.
