We saw a fisherman bring in a sand shark! He let us photograph it before throwing it back. So Friendly! The food is amazing!

Walked this beach trail every morning. Breath taking! Had breakfast at a cute café right across the pier. What could be better than eating outside and looking at turquoise blue ocean!

Nice Pier, not too crowded and an easy walk from shops and hotels in San Clemente. There are two restaurants at the entrance of the pier that look good.

The pier is a 1/4 mile long and busy with walkers and fisherman. You can watch the surfers right as the waves break. Walk out to the end and watch for seals and whales. Lunch or dinner at Fishermans is a must - their mudpie is to die for. We went to the pier several times - day and night... More

Very well maintained facility. Relaxing walk on the pier, watching the sea birds feed, people strolling along the beach and the surfer trying to get a decent ride from each wave.

I wouldnt drive out of my way to walk along a pier but this is a lovely spot and so worth the walk. Unassuming, just nice to watch the fisherman and surfers. Good spot.

Took the train with the family for the day. Weekend pass only $10.00 each for round trip. Walked down the pier and watched the surfers. The kids played in the ocean. They just had to get their feet wet! Spent the day shopping and having lunch. Great family outing. Last time I was there was 1975 and it was just... More

The pier was available for walking and fishing, if you have your own gear. The restaurants were open. We took a lot of photos of the sunset. Nice experience.
