We had an excellent lunch at the Fisherman's restaurant on the pier. There were two sections to the restaurant, one on the right, one on the left. We chose the Oyster Bar section as we wanted to have fish and chips. It was reasonably priced and the best fish and chips, (very fresh with a beer batter), that we've had... More

We stopped here for a leg stretch on our way from San Diego to LA. The town was very cute and the pier a fun stop. The color of the Pacific here looked almost Caribbean! There were many surfers in the water and it was fun to watch them. We stopped at the restaurant on the pier for some ahi... More

The San Clemente Pier is an amazing structure. This long pier, juts into the beautiful Pacific Ocean offering views to Dana Point and at the right time of day the Channel Islands. The pier is a favorite spot to stroll, sit on benches and gaze at the sea, birds, and surfers. Early morning and sunset are pretty nice times to... More

After we had lunch at the Fisherman's Restaurant we took a walk to the end of the pier. It was fun to watch some of the people fishing and look out over the ocean.

The view from the pier was gorgeous, but there was nothing to do. We found ourselves bored incredibly quickly, and ventured out to find entertainment.

The San Clemente Pier is a famous destination, and surrounded by restaurants, and has everything you expect from a nice beach.

It can get crowded at times, and because fishing off the pier doesn't require licenses there tends to be a lot of bird droppings and left over bait from the anglers. Regardless, it is a great place to stroll, rain or shine!

This southern California beachside town, adjacent to rail lines that can take you north & south with mostly ocean views, has a pace & feel all its own. The longtime military presence still can be noticed especially if you are visiting one of the many barber shops in town &/or Goodies Tavern that are located along SC's main drag, El... More

It's a wonderful pier to walk along and view the ocean. Many locals exercise on the pier in the morning. Loved it!

If it's warm out like this week, a walk on the pier is just what the doctor ordered. You can watch the surfers below you. Drop into the cantina and have a $5 special dinner dish weekly. Clam Chowder is the best.
