We had just arrived at our hotel across from the pier when the most amazing sunset began. The reviews below describe the beauty, and with the right conditions, you will also see this too. I was amazed at how the sun set into the ocean with a golden glow, and then how the clouds took on the most beautiful reds... More

The Pier itself is the attraction. Do not expect anything beyond. It is a nice stroll, particularly if you are on the waiting list of a nearby restaurant. Therefore check first for your restaurant seating and then start your walk. The coastal scenery is wonderful in dusk when the lights are starting to sparkle.

Nice pier...two restaurants opposite one another right at the entrance. Otherwise, not particularly special. Good for a stroll "over" the ocean. Parking is VERY challenging...up hill, public lots, but have to drive around...at least on the weekend...

When in San Clem, you need to take a walk down the pier. It's not full of vendors like other cities; The Fisherman restaurant is at the base, and a modest snack bar/gift store near the end. The views from the pier are great; you can see the coastline for miles, and check-out the surfers in the shore break. Be... More

Loved our trip to San Clemente. Beautiful place to visit, the place is definitely upscale. Paddling in the Pacific Ocean is just soooo cool and watching the surfers catching the waves.

Having grown up in San Clemente, I've been to the pier countless times (and even jumped off it, although I don't think the city approves). If you are in town, it's definitely worth walking down for pleasant views of the beach and the city (especially at sunset). If you're hungry, the Fisherman's Restaurant has great seafood. Whenever I am in... More

We really enjoyed our visit to the San Clemente fishing pier. We viewed a beautiful sunset while watching surfers ride the waves. Then we enjoyed a spontaneous visit to the pizza place right at the base of the pier. Delicious microbrews and wines as well as notable homemade pizzas. Truly an enjoyable evening at the pier.

Great place to watch the sunset. Parking can be difficult when it is warm and it is tourist season. You can park up by the library and walk down. It is great to eat and drink at the Fisherman. It is sometimes is difficult to get an outside seat which is the best way to see the sunset. The clam... More
