Yes, this is just a pier and there are people fishing off of it, but if you are in San Clemente you need to see it. The ocean view from the pier is so beautiful and when you get out on the pier and turn around, the view of the houses on the hills above the shore is so pretty.... More

Went to the beach everyday here. Get there early for the paid parking, it goes fast. Lovely to stroll out on the pier.

A beautiful tourist attraction, especially if you are riding the AMTRAK Train between Los Angeles and San Diego. They have a stop right at the San Clemente Pier, and it's a beautiful beach environment around the Pier. I highly recommend the Restaurant on the Pier, on the left.

The Pier is San Clemente's heart -- view, breeze, simple dining options, spectacular sunsets...and an AMTRAK stop right there. A "must" for visitors locals love the Pier. Simple dining options, easy access plus parking. Oooh and those sunsets!!

This is an old wood pier. It is fun to walk and look at the views, if there are not too many people fishing. If you are in the area, it is a must go to place, but I would not go out of my way to come here.

Not much to say about this one. It's a long pier. People fish off it so it is mostly disgusting. Seagull and pigeon poo. Fish guts and grime. Overpriced restaurant. OK beach. They have some kind of featival here almost every weekend.

Free, great views from Dana Point to San Onofre . People surf, swim, sun bathe, fish, picnic or visit one of the many local restaurants you can walk to.

The pier is a fishing pier so none of the shops etc you find at more touristy OC locations. It's so lovely though. The view is incredible and it feels a lot more quiet and romantic than most of the busier piers

It's a very rocky beach, not sandy and not much to do on the pier. But across from it is a beautiful area to walk around.
