Clean and crisp, like its surroundings. Try Fishermans Restaurant after a stroll on the pier and the weather was great in February compared with Northern Europe!

This is one of the nicest piers on the California coast. The Fisherman Restaurant is great for views, and a cup of chowder. The pier is always clean, and well maintained. You get to look back at the town of San Clemente, one of the most beautiful places on earth!

Travelling along the PCH we visited numerous piers, but my memory of San Clemente stands out. Beautiful vista from everywhere. The sun shinning on the water was amazing, the beach, palm trees was exceptional. We spent some time there in late afternoon and early evening and the colours were quite special.

We have been to the pier many, many times and every time have enjoyed our visit! Always eat at the first seafood restaurant we come to as we go on the pier. The one we always choose in on the left. We normally sit outside. The wait staff is always great & we have never been disappointed with the food.... More

A nice walk on half of the trail and you end up at the pier. At the head of the pier there is a restaurant. Best Damn clam and seafood chowder!!!! A must visit!

The pier is free , there is an excellent view of Dana Point and you can watch the surfers up close. From the end there is a beautiful view of the hills and homes.

We had just arrived at our hotel across from the pier when the most amazing sunset began. The reviews below describe the beauty, and with the right conditions, you will also see this too. I was amazed at how the sun set into the ocean with a golden glow, and then how the clouds took on the most beautiful reds... More

The Pier itself is the attraction. Do not expect anything beyond. It is a nice stroll, particularly if you are on the waiting list of a nearby restaurant. Therefore check first for your restaurant seating and then start your walk. The coastal scenery is wonderful in dusk when the lights are starting to sparkle.

Nice pier...two restaurants opposite one another right at the entrance. Otherwise, not particularly special. Good for a stroll "over" the ocean. Parking is VERY challenging...up hill, public lots, but have to drive around...at least on the weekend...
