I am sold ! Totally faithful to this theater, I don't like the theater that's near the mall, it is the one that seems unsafe, Not the Maya. There's a handy parking garage, and if you get your stub stamped from the Maya, parking is free for about 2 hours. We go here very often, there are some homeless people... More

We don't have a lot of choices in Salinas if we want to see a movie. Maya is close and convenient for South Salinas residents. However, parking is an issue, and my children are afraid to walk from the parking garage to the theater because of the current homeless issue in our town. We have been approached by some of... More

This movie theater is located in the heart of downtown Salinas. It's within walking distance of several restaurants and bars and has garage parking which can be validated in the theater. It's a smaller theater but it's easy to get to. However, depending on the movie release, the parking garage could be challenging when it comes to parking.

We go to the movies pretty frequently. Maya is great because there is plenty of parking in the Oldtown garage, there are numerous screens so lots of choices, multiple snack bars...

When the Maya Cinemas project was built, the citizens of Salinas were promised art films, shorts, documentaries, and foreign films. Instead, what we got, was the most generic shoot-'em-up, car-chase, and pop Hollywood drivel. The theatre has the ability to show video and special events, but seldom does. On a positive note, the employees are friendly, helpful, and keep the... More

I have been here more than once and will continue to go here. You can't beat the admission price. They have special days with lower fares. Tuesday is family day and Wednesday is Senior Day

Great place downtown to catch a flick with the honey or with the kiddos on a Tuesday for family day. Some workers can be a little rude or just ignore that you're even right there. I didn't like that so haven't been back since

This theater has great management that keeps things running smoothly. It is clean and well staffed. During the summer they have a weekly $1 movie for kids. FUN
