I don't think I'd ever tasted port before my girlfriend and I stayed at The Inn on First in Napa. We found a bottle of Petite Sirah Port from Prager Winery & Port Works available in the common living room, and I enjoyed a glass both nights that we stayed there. Having been somewhat disappointed the previous day by a... More

$20 for wine tasting, a free glass, and chocolate. The reviews were good so I had to go. In this case my husband and I strongly disagree with the others. The dollar bills all over the walls and ceiling were as dirty and gross as the cobwebs everywhere. We didn't get the chocolate drizzle sample because he couldn't find any... More

The best ports in Napa Vally. Also, one of my favorite tasting rooms. The Prager's are down to earth, and the room is comfy and welcoming. The Tawny and Aria are my favorites, and have been for years! I keep coming back!

Hidden directly behind the Sutter Home Winery in St Helena is a small but outstanding port wine maker. When you walk in it's very unassuming and quaint. In fact over the years people have stapled dollar bills throughout the tasting room.....and there are thousands of them!!! Peter Prager took me through my tasting and I was thrilled to get some... We loved this winery! We stopped in here after reading that they make Port and Dessert wines, which is what we like. It isn't a place for "wine snobs" by any means, but that is one the things we loved about the place. It's awesome wine made by "everyday" type people like most of us. We talked to the owner... More

Unique experience. If you are snooty you won't like it. Their tasting room is decorated in the same style as my garage. However, if you would enjoy stopping to talk with some "regular guys" who enjoy making port and seem to enjoy life, this is the place for you. They kind of remind me of "Click and Clack" the car... If for no other reason you need to go there and buy a bottle of their Drizzle. It is half chocolate sauce and half port and it is "to die for." Aside from the Drizzle, they make some of the best ports in the world. I am particularly fond of their Royal Escort. This is not the easiest place to... More

This was not a planned stop. We were driving by and I noticed the sign for port and tastings. My husband enjoys a nice port so we turned around and stopped in. I'm so glad we did. This is a tiny place. The two men working were so much fun. The tasting room is small and the walls and ceilings... More

Used the coupon available on NapaValley.com. Coupon is for tasting at a price of $20...the price without a coupon for everyone is ... $20, however, so not a discount. Doesn't have a real tasting room, just standing around a kitchen area, but that's okay. Seems more like regular guys who make port, rather than people trained in winemaking. When we... More
