Description: Prager Winery & Port Works produces premium ports, fortified wines, and...
Prager Winery & Port Works produces premium ports, fortified wines, and dessert and table wines using top quality Napa Valley grapes. We are a winery that has been family owned and operated for three generations and deeply involved in all stages of crafting our premium ports and wines. Located in the heart of Napa Valley, we have been aptly described as the perfect prescription for Port lovers since 1979. Tucked away past a lush garden, the Prager tasting room is like a secret hideaway - rustic and casual - and unlike any tasting room in the Napa Valley. Currency from around the world covers the walls and ceilings. In our intimate tasting room guests can choose from a variety of our delicious offerings. Pick from the Vintage, Tawny and White Ports, or the Petite Sirah and Late Harvest Riesling table wines. To cleanse your palates between tastings, divulge in some of our delectable chocolate truffles and Imogene Prager's sweet and savory walnuts. Browse through our additional offerings from specialty vinegars, custom etched bottles, t-shirts, hats and more. We invite you to step off the beaten path and join us for an exceptional port experience.

We had a wonderful tasting here. I didn't taste one thing I didn't like, which made the $20 tasting worth it. Loved the great music and hanging out in the kitchen with the brothers and brother in law. Super nice, Down to earth good old boys. I can't wait for my case to arrive so that I can sip it... More

Prager Port is my favorite place to go for port in St. Helena. Their unique small winery tasting room with the signed dollar bills is fun to go to. The staff is friendly; the tasting pours are good; and the port is so wonderful. We did a shared tasting. We have visited often - usually in December - to get... More

Loved our wine tasting round here! Excellent varieties of port and we especially enjoyed the hazelnut finish in the white port. Currency notes from visitors around the world adorned the walls and ceilings. The owners were super nice and fun! For $20, we tasted 6 wines, could share a glass and also take the glass home. Great deal!

We were told to come here by our Platypus tour guide and we told her we loved port. It is a funky little house that has dollar bills hanging all over the "tasting room." I felt like I was stepping into someone's garage/kitchen. Their port is amazing and we would have bought all of them if we could have afforded... More

This is not your typical wine tasting experience. The ceiling and walls are covered in dollar bills. There is a window with wine bottles covered with spider webs. I had my doubts about it all until one of the Prager's came out and began telling us about the different ports. The port was the best I had ever had! I... More

The tasting was fun, informative and full of stories! They are very cool about letting you try things and compare vintages. We ended up staying a couple hours and bought a case. I would come back just to visit these guys! Super cool people make the experience! I haven't even discussed the port. It is incredible! I lived in Lisbon... More

I don't think I'd ever tasted port before my girlfriend and I stayed at The Inn on First in Napa. We found a bottle of Petite Sirah Port from Prager Winery & Port Works available in the common living room, and I enjoyed a glass both nights that we stayed there. Having been somewhat disappointed the previous day by a... More

$20 for wine tasting, a free glass, and chocolate. The reviews were good so I had to go. In this case my husband and I strongly disagree with the others. The dollar bills all over the walls and ceiling were as dirty and gross as the cobwebs everywhere. We didn't get the chocolate drizzle sample because he couldn't find any... More

The best ports in Napa Vally. Also, one of my favorite tasting rooms. The Prager's are down to earth, and the room is comfy and welcoming. The Tawny and Aria are my favorites, and have been for years! I keep coming back!
