Food was delicious, great vibes and energy from the friendly staff, don't miss it! The bruschettas are to die for. Perfect for sharing. There are tables to sit down under the shade and enjoy a glass of wine from the tasting room.

This is not your traditional stuffy tasting room; this is Clif (as in Clif Bar) and was absolutely awesome! This is a family run winery and the only place you can get Clif wine - which we absolutely loved! We had a great time with John, our wine tasting host and tri-athlete, and could not have been more pleased with... More

My husband and I visited Clif on a recent trip to Napa Valley. This was our least favorite tasting of all. The wines just didn't stand up to the others, and the tasting room didn't have the authentic feel that we had seen the rest of our trip. Clif has a great location in St. Helena (super cute town), but... More

While on cycling tour of the Napa Valley we discovered this little winery & it's food truck. Stop for a bite of lunch & throughly enjoyed the food & the atmosphere. Did not try the wine because we had more cycling to do but the winery is a fun spot especially if you are cyclist.

We were lucky enough to do a tasting at the Clif Family's small tasting room on top of Howell Mountain. Jeff, our host, was knowledgeable, fun, and clearly passionate about wine and food. Each of the wines we tasted had a unique cheese/preserve/spice pairing that Jeff had previously picked out, and everything was amazing - we couldn't leave without buying... More

The best part of our Clif wine tasting was the bruschetta truck. The ambiance is geared more for their biking crowd, which was not for us.

First, I love Clif Bars, so naturally I had to visit the winery. I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised by the wines. Whites and reds were perfectly balanced with friendly, knowledgeable staff. They take your time with a tasting, rather than prodding you through like some wineries do. Out of all the wines, the Gertztweiner... More

We had the opportunity to visit and partake at the top of the mountain rather than down at the Velo vino tasting center. Jeff was a great host and has put together a great tasting experience with their wine, exotic cheeses and home grown/made jams/jellies and spices. Just a quality experience all around.

We chose the Refugio wine tasting experience at the Clif Family Vino Velo in St. Helena to celebrate our granddaughter's 21st birthday. It was perfect! Clif Bars are a favorite, but we had no idea that the wine would be so good! Candace led us through 5 tastings (plus an extra-or should I tell?) and provided different and interesting treats,... We had no idea that the makers of Clif bars also had a winery. We found the tasting room while walking along Main St. after having lunch at Gott's Roadside. Loved hearing about how the winery was started and how Eco friendly the Clif family is about all their products.
